"Rods Steak and Seafood restaurant at the Madison Hotel in Morristown was a wonderful experience. A walk back in time with the beautiful tiffany glass ceiling, mahogany woodwork an carvings. We had an early reservation which was really good. By the time we left, the place was full and really energetic. If you want intimate, do an early seating. The food was absolutely beautiful and very good. The prime rib perfectly melted in your mouth and a good portion size. The truffle and mushroom risotto was so flavorful and perfectly matched the prime rib. The sea scallops with polenta was perfectly cooked and well paired. Rod's cheesecake was flavorful and very smooth. The special dessert was a mascarpone berry tart which was light and fruity. Perfect ending to a perfect birthday dinner. While the is a bit high, I feel it was well worth it for such a wonderful meal and experience for a special day."
