"The food here is absolutely wonderful. I haven't had a blackened catfish entree this spicy and delicious in well over twenty years. My wife's vegetarian jumbalaya had the perfect blend of heat and flavor, while our youngest son enjoyed his spicy chicken sandwich with fries. Our oldest son, who was the reason for being there as it was his 16th birthday, had a shrimp sandwich and alligator. We never had gator before, but it was prepared with a mouthwatering blend of spices. Have we mentioned we like spices? Okay. I'm sure I did somewhere along the way... NOLA had the incomparable RML jazz band playing there on Saturday evening, which was another reason why we celebrated the birthday there. Bands can be a bit loud, even when you're sitting back in the dining area away from the band and bar, but you have to go with it as part of the restaurant's charm."
