"Old Ebbitts Grill was the place for oysters in Washington DC until it became a tour bus stop. The Oyster Bar Columbia (Far away from the District of Columbia fortunately I pray never suffers that fate. It has such a local feel that welcomes outsiders with a low country warmth of hospitality, remarkably friendly service, and food that tastes as if you were at the seaside. The oysters (of course that's why I was there were plump, succulent, briny and flavorful in a subtle way that only oysters can deliver such a mouth feel that had me wanting more. (And that was without condiments for the first taste! Alas, it was just before closing time so I vowed to return. A must stop for seafood lovers. Get there before closing time. I could have sat there for hours."
