"Their sign says something along the lines of the best Philly is no longer in Philadelphia. A bold statement to make, but they back it up with one of the best Philly’s I’ve ever eaten. Given the choice between them and Pat’s King of Steaks in Philadelphia, I think I’d choose Fred’s. The ribeye was tender and flavorful. They seem to mix the steak, peppers, and onions in with the cheese sauce which is a game changer. It holds everything together nicely and gives you the perfect bite every time. The fries were a bit on the salty side but still delicious. And I realize that salt content is a personal preference. The garlic aioli was amazing. It went great on both the fries and the Philly. If you’re looking for a quick bite and a delicious Philly, Fred’s is the place to go."
