"We have been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every meal has been very good. The food is authentic and tastes great! Service is always excellent. We have asked for certain items not on the menu on a number of occasions and they have always accommodated us."

"Feels tired. But it’s basically all we have in the neighborhood, especially with a place to sit. Thanks landlords! Not enough and overworked “Mexican”workers, so the lines can be ridiculous. Not a dedicated cashier, which would make service smoother. Tables and chairs are old, wobbly and not in a cute antique way.The bagels? They are OK. Nothing like anything one would get in Queens. The spread display is unappealing and the several slabs of smoked salmon in the front case are far from appetizing, pardon the pun. Throw some oranges, some plastic flowers in there, make it look pretty.Should be good but mediocre at best."

"I had the opportunity to try a bagel sandwich at Nabe for breakfast that completely changed my opinion on what makes a good bagel. I have been craving it ever since! I loved that they had a tofu spread option instead of traditional cream cheese, which is not usually available in New England. I always heard that New York water bagels were the best, but now I am a true believer in Beyond Bagels."

"I was working a little bit longer in Bethesda today than I anticipated, and I had a craving for a grilled cheese sandwich. I decided to look at restaurants in the area that was within walking distance from my job, and I settled on Heckman's Deli. I was especially excited to try the grilled cheese BLT sandwich meal, and so I ordered that for pickup through Uber Eats. It was ready within 10-15 minutes, and I couldn't wait to eat it. Unfortunately, when I got to the sandwich, I discovered that it was just a plain grilled cheese sandwich. No bacon, lettuce, tomato, or mayo. I was utterly confused and saddened by this. I ended up calling the restaurant and the manager was shocked that my order was wrong after I explained to her what happened. She apologized and I appreciated it very much. Even though the restaurant couldn't give me a refund, I was able to get my money back via Uber Eats. I'm not sure what happened today that caused my sandwich to be totally wrong, but I'm willing to give this place another chance. I may have to try ordering the food through the website as opposed to Uber Eats, but I will still give Heckman's Deli a try again as the food was excellent."

"The bagels here are excellent, and there's an impressive variety to choose from. They offer some unique flavors, including a rainbow bagel that displays vibrant colors when sliced. There's also a deli for dining in. Overall, the restaurant is tidy and well-maintained."

"I'm giving 5 stars because it's usually very good. Yesterday I paid for my usually extra lean corned beef on steamed Kaiser with spicy mustard. Unfortunately it was not lean. I guess that part was not relayed to the person who made my sandwich, I wish they had not relayed the charge to the cashier."

"I had a fantastic meal last weekend at this supper club restaurant that we brought my mom to. It was the first time at Carnivore The Queen. From the outside the restaurant is nothing special as it’s in a small strip mall and there’s not a lot of parking. Don’t let that fool you. Once inside, it’s decorated very nicely with black walls ceilings, beautiful lighting and artwork. There’s a bar in each dining area as well. There’s a small front and side, outdoor patio with umbrella tables, too.Our server was Zane, who was very personable and engaging. He gave us the history of the name of the restaurant, when I inquired and explained the menu. He made the dining experience that much better. My husband and I started out with cocktails. I requested a mezcal paloma and my husband had one of the old fashioneds, the Minocqua which was amazing. Next time I’m getting that cocktail. We started with a relish tray that we shared comprised of beer cheese dip, ham salad, housemade crackers, crudités, olives and cornichons. The relish tray is definitely a throwback to the supper clubs of the past. It’s good for two to share. I I asked for bread, which was served warm with salted butter topped with fried basil and salt. I was surprised there was a charge for the bread. With the high prices at this restaurant, it would be a nice touch for their customers to provide complimentary bread and charge for the second loaf, if requested. My mom and husband had the beef wellington, which was the Saturday night special. It was fantastic. Perfectly flaky crust, and the fillet was cooked as requested, medium rare, I had the seared scallops, which were perfectly grilled and tender and fresh. This restaurant is pricey, but worth it. There is a five-course signature supper for 66, which would include the relish tray, wedge salad. shrimp crab Louie, roasted chicken, and dessert. You can swap out the roasted chicken for another entrée with an upcharge. I think that is the way to go so you can have a little bit of everything from the menu and control the price.I can’t think of one negative about our dining experience except the charge for bread. I’d like to come back for a burger and cocktails at the bar Their way burgers look fabulous! I definitely recommend this restaurant, but be prepared for sticker shock. We don’t mind paying for great service and food, but others may not. FYI"

"The food at Heckman's was actually quite good, but the service was very strange. Only some of our party got our food, and it came out kind of higglety pigglety. The one person who didn't get her food had ordered soup, certainly not something that one would normally have to wait for. It felt like no one had trained the servers at all."
