"This restaurant is something special. While I haven't had much Malaysian or Indonesian cuisine before, I have a feeling that Anthony Bourdain would have enjoyed eating here. The chicken is chopped bone-in and the dumplings are made fresh to order, served with gochujang slaw as a garnish. Everything I have tried at Sago has been made with care and attention. Despite opening in 2019 and facing the challenges of the pandemic, the restaurant has managed to survive mainly on takeout orders. Many customers still choose to enjoy their food to go, so if you decide to dine in, be prepared to wait a bit as your order may not be first in line. The restaurant has a bright and welcoming storefront atmosphere, making it a pleasant spot to watch the Mt Lookout neighborhood pass by."
