"It's hard to believe that this was my first visit to Backatown, but alas. It's pretty spacious with lots of tables and room to spread out, but still retains the intimate vibes that we all love coffee shops for. They have a really nice selection of pastries and other food items like sandwiches and salads. I enjoyed the crawfish quiche--the crust was flakey and buttery and there was a nice amount of crawfish baked inside. I love when coffee shops have good playlists and I was vibing with what they had playing. It was a mix of smooth R&B and soul. A friend and I set up shop to do a little co-working and it's a great spot to spend sometime. The weather was perfect and we were able to grab a spot by the open window and enjoy some fresh air. They provide free wi-fi, but it was a little difficult to connect to and the connection wasn't the strongest, but it served me well. Just something to keep in mind in case you're needing to take a video call or something. It's just a few blocks away from the French Quarter, so it's primarily paid street parking in the area. I was able to find a spot across the street fairly easily, but when there are events happening in the city, I could see parking being more of a challenge. Nevertheless, I'll definitely be adding it to my WFH rotation."
