"This is my favorite restaurant in Dayton and we come at least 4-5 times a year. As always, the greeting at the door was gracious and they had a special menu printed noting our anniversary. That being said, the service was not up to usual standards, which may have been due to a computer system issue our waiter shared. My husband had the oysters for a starter, the Dumaine salad and the short rib for his main. Loved all of them. I had the crab cake special for my starter, the Dumaine salad (both wonderful) and the duck breast special for my main. The duck seemed to be a little less cooked than the medium rare request but that's on me for not questioning or sending it back. The special touches were missing for us (no amuse bouche, had to ask several times for bread) and the overall pace was a bit more than leisurely than I would want (2-1/2 hours for dinner) but this was just a small misstep for a wonderful restaurant. I will be back again and I'm confident they will perform to their usual excellence again. We enjoy the restaurant and love supporting this local gem."
