"Pao da Vida is one of my favorite Brazilian bakeries and luncheonettes in the Ironbound. Plus it even has a parking lot, which, those in Newark know, parking can often be a hassle. The coffee is always fresh and delicious here, understandably so! The baked goods are the highlight. They have a self-serve section with a variety of fresh breads and rolls. In the glass case, they have typical pastries such as quindim (pronounced keen-jeen an egg yolk and coconut custard, pao de mel (honey bread , rosca de coco (coconut bread , and brigadeiros, beijinhos, bomboms, and more. Their lunch menu consists of burgers, panquecas (savory crepes! , sandwiches, salads, wraps, and even Brazilian pizza. Don't forget about the pao de queijo and salgados (salty snacks such as coxinhas (chicken croquette , pasteis (fried pastries similar to empanadas , kibbehs, etc!"
