"1) Took my granddaughters there last night for a meal. We were seated quickly at a booth in the back corner. Our waiter seemed like he was good, but things changed. After getting our drinks and ordering, the only time we saw the waiter was when food was being delivered. He, as well as the rest of the staff, spent most of the night laughing and talking with the bartenders. I'm 6'6 , so when I stood up on 2 occasions waving my hands to get ANYONE'S attention and the only people that noticed were other patrons, oh well. After being ignored most of the night a waiter that was waiting on a nearby table came and started helping us. He eventually took over our table because I guess the last time our original waiter came I commented on his lack of service. He said he's busy training a new guy. I asked training him in what, how to ignore customers? I think I made him mad. New waiter was great. At the end, I signed the receipt and left no tip, but I gave the new guy a cash tip and told him he could share with the other guy if he wanted, but he didn't deserve a penny. 2) Got my order wrong. Tried to overcharge me for it. Then when I made them correct it, the original waiter's comment was that I should be happy because he didn't charge me for the 2 sprites my girls had. Idiot, the bill is over $150. Do you think I was worried about the price of Sprite? 3) Food wasn't that good. Its bad when a 13 year old and a 6 year old who've been eating sushi since they were babies comment about and won't eat the calamari or soft shell crab because it doesn't taste right. I had a bite and it didn't taste fresh to me either. We took it home for the dogs."

"I've been to Crafthouse a few times since they stopped being Home Cafe. If I were writing about Home Cafe I would be giving it a 5 star review hands down. The issue I have the Crafthouse is that the food is just not very consistent. I've ordered things are truly out of park great, but then I've ordered other things that are not so great.<br/ <br/ My most recent visit I ordered the fish sticks with fries and shared chips and queso with my dinner friend. The queso was really good, but when it was served it already formed a crust of hard cheese on the top. It made me wonder how long it had been sitting before it got to our table. My fish sticks were really three pieces of fried cod. It was breaded well and had a nice crunch to it and the fish itself and nice and flakey. The house tarter sauce was just OK because it was missing something, almost like a key ingredient, but I couldn't put my finger on it. The fries were a complete disappointment. They were over fried and had nothing to offer. I don't mind well done fries, but these were crispy through and through and essentially burnt.<br/ <br/ I've had brunch here before and it's pretty good. But again it's a consistency issue. I will continue to go back every now and then because I really want to give this place the benefit of the doubt. They're local and I love supporting local businesses. It's was makes a city like Lubbock a great place to live. But they can improve with delivering more consistently good food."
