"We had the gorditas, the pibil, and the mole with duck. The first two dishes were quite unremarkable beyond the high quality masa in the gorditas and tortillas. Unfortunately, they seem to think that all you need are two tortillas to polish off a full entree. The mole itself was quite good dark, deep, rich and layered. The duck was well cooked and was almost too rich a pairing for the sauce. Make sure you get at least one additional order of tortillas, because they definitely won't give you enough to make it through the meal"

"I have been a customer at Lolita's for 20 years. The super rolled tacos are delicious, and the California burrito is large and satisfying. I visited this morning, as well as multiple times this week, and I noticed that Julio was not present. Julio was always the most friendly and outgoing employee at this location. I am not sure if he still works here, but it was always a pleasure to see him behind the counter. I give five stars for the food and service."

"Unfortunately visited this place multiple times for weeks. Everytime asked for clarification on ingredients in the beans as well as the guacamole.Everytime we were told that there is NO lard in beans , and NO dairy in the guacamole. Which in fact was FALSE. My fiancé has been very unwell for weeks and we were confused as to why. SHE IS EXTREMELY ALLERGIC TO DAIRY PRODUCTSDue to the misinformation she has been to the hospital and bed ridden.Will be moving forward legally.Be careful if you have food allergies and eat here!!!!"

"¡Ay Mí Dios! This place is definitely a hidden gem of Cottleville. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food away from the mainstream chains, this is the place. Each order is made when you order but that doesn’t seem to extend the wait time. They have empanadas (which I have not been able to find anywhere) and their tamals are amazing! And yes it is tamals. Their chips come with multiple salsas and even ask for their homemade hot sauces. I’ve had the chile Relleno two times now and each time it was incredible. Most restaurants make the egg on the outside soggy and the cheese is overpowering. With La Chata’s, the egg is the perfect consistency and the cheese is perfectly proportionate to the chile. In terms of dessert, I highly recommend the flan. I will never eat another flan after this one! The atmosphere is vibrant and the decorations add to the charm of the dining area. The owner has come out and talked with us along with his wife many times about the food and their story. To sum it all up, this is the place to get quality Mexican food and not that **** Taco Bell imitation Mexican food. ¡Es muy muy muy muy delicioso!"

"Inconsistent portions constantly depending on what time of day you go which in my opinion is massive issue. I've watched the price of the California burrito get 3 price bumps in 2 months. It was 6.50 last year now it's $10. After 6 years I called it quits and even the staffed agreed with me when I mentioned the price. You can go to freebirds, get double steak and spend $13 after tax or have lower grade calimex burrito for $11 after tax where it'll be big at night and small during the day. The quality and amount of food doesn't justice the price even with the current cost of food.This is not a random rant, this is an actual complaint and it would be smart to read it and make adjustments. You should increase portions to match the increased cost and then have cooks use a spoon or container or something to ensure consistency in portion size."

"I had high hopes about this place because of all the raving reviews, however my friend and I had a bad experience with some things: the music was too loud. The margaritas were watered down, tasted too much like fake syrup The men’s bathroom was untidy and dirty The food tasted okay, but we both got sick as soon as we came back from the restaurant, and it was overpriced for what you get. The one thing we can’t complaint is the service, that was great."

"The Menudo here is ridiculous. It is so good that they only offer it Saturday and Sunday. But people love it so much that they are already sold out by noon Sunday. The Burritos are so jam packed and delicious. They don't get lame tortilla burrito where most of them only eat a tortilla. The Burritos here are full of taste and passion. "Every time we get through the ride thru, there is a long waiting time. The food is fine, but the salsa is great. We do not live on this side of the city 410, so convenient we pick up when we can. Today they have crushed our order and we have asked them to tell them that we have beans and cheese instead of Guisada with cheese. We also asked for Steak Queensadilla and got cheese. We also work in customer service and management. Instead of receiving us for their mistakes, they wanted us to return the whole way, bring the food back and wait until they repair it. They wanted us to come back to repay the money. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but this place is not a Bueno."
