"This place doesn't need much more acclaim. It's a schelling point for many people: 1 those who appreciate the deep history and culture of high-end Cantonese cuisine; how it serves as the backbone of the beautiful moments and memories many families, friends, and business associates have made, and continue to make around it throughout the years 2 those who understand how complex it is to master the simple, classic dishes (go and try making one of the fried rice yourself and achieve the mouthfeel of the rice grains.. its only fried rice... right..?! 3 those that pay attention to detail on the high-quality ingredients that are sourced and then meticulously and laboriously mise-en-placed and cooked for our enjoyment. Quality so good, you can taste it. 4 those who are lucky enough to have been around to witness this place grow and establish itself as an institution through the evolution of SF Chinatown. With skyrocketing food and human labor costs, and COVID-19, the restaurant business is harder than it has ever been. It's a feat that doesn't go unnoticed. We are SO lucky this place is open to share their story with us. Anyways, the fried crab seems to dominate the reviews so I wanted to highlight some of their other dishes that I enjoyed on my most recent visit. Loved every single one of them and will always look forward to going back to R&G. See you there!"

"This is a one stop shop restaurant, KTV, Drinks, Pubs, cafe for noon and evening late hours, Star KTV is for KTV, Tea Hub is for the drinks, also noon Cafe milk tea orders, late evening eating KTV and drinks with beers and KTV, what can you expect with this versatile place that offers so much. Come check this out, pork ears is great, chef noodles thin style are my favorite, foods and place are clean and simple, love it. Price is fair, staff are friendly. Great location next to city college and William land park, what a convenient place to be."

"I went here with my parents and we order two items. Hianinan chicken and the other dish was pawns with walnut. The total bill came out to $50. The food was good. When we ask for the bill and payed the amount. The sever/host told us that we have to tip 15%. Eventually we did cash tip. As soon we were about to leave the server/host said that wasn't enough tip money. First of all why you would ask for 15% tip. Second asking for tip and then complain about how we tipped low. You should be grateful there was tip. I never seen this kind behavior from any restaurant establishments. I work in the restaurant industry that is a very rude thing to say to paying customers. Also on top of that I understand Cantonese so I understand all the unnecessary talk about didn't tip enough and why you should tip more. As much I like the food here, more likely I won't be coming back."

"Shanghai Steamed Pork Dumplings 小籠飽 (8)and Vegetable Pork Steamed Dumplings 菜肉蒸餃 (8) were very good. Chicken Fried Rice 雞炒飯 was more like steamed rice with bits of chicken and egg. Disappointing because I love this place."
