"I typically enjoy the food at this restaurant, but my experience with the gluten-free chicken parm was disappointing. The chicken was extremely thin and overcooked, almost splintering. The sauce on the pasta was watery and running off. It was a shame that we drove all the way from Eatontown for the food. I'm not sure if we'll make that trip again. This used to be my go-to spot for gluten-free Italian food, but after giving it another chance on October 2nd, I was thoroughly disappointed. The pasta was undercooked, the sauce was unappetizing, and the meatballs were rubbery and lacked flavor. The gluten-free garlic bread was simply a toasted hot dog roll for $10. It was a horrible experience and I will not be returning. I recommend anyone in need of gluten-free options to look for another restaurant."

"I found hair in my Chicken Parmigiana Dinner and that isn’t the first time I heard something like that happening. I should of listened but I found out the hard way with hair in my mouth. I was just so hungry and it was the only place around at the time. The back is very dirty. Do not go to the bathroom as it looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time.. I hope the health inspector, inspects this place. A friend of mine recently also got food poisoning."

"Quick review after our first order: over all the food was good and very quickly delivered. Hot and fresh. The salad was really good. I am not a fan of what they called. “deep dish pizza” but I grew up in Chicago. This has nothing to do with Chicago deep dish. The Deep Dish they delivered was just a very thick, fluffy crust. I will not order that again now that I know what it is. I will give them another try on their regular New York style crust, pizza. The flavor of the sauce and ingredients on the pizza. It was pretty good, but it was completely dominated by a massive amount of dough and crust."

"As much as I love Joey's, I have to admit that they are sometimes a bit a hit or a miss. Sometimes you get a good ol' fashion cake or a good ol' fashion slice, and sometimes it's a bit of cheesier (but not in a good way) the same thing goes with the garlic knots your safest bet is probably going with the personal pizzas! They are like the size of a paper plate you see and in the party city, but they are quite satisfied!! All in all: 7 outta 10"

"We came here the day after New Years as our usual pizza spot was closed. We ordered a large traditional cheese pie for takeout. The pizza was ready in 30 minutes and was hot.The pizza looked okay and smelled yummy. Unfortunately, it was sub-par at best. The pizza sauce was very vinegar and had a sour taste. Each bite of pizza should include a bit of bread, sauce and cheese. That wasn't the case here. It was like they put a bit of cheese on some parts and then sauce on the other. I am not sure why they made the pizza like that especially a traditional cheese pizza. The crust was pretty dry and subpar at the best.I am not sure if this pizza spot is only known for their specialty pies but, their traditional pie is trash."

"I am an enthusiastic pizza type and Amante is a great pizza place! I always suspect on “gourmet” pizza, how that can mean that they don’t get pizza, but not here – they really have good pizza and good service. Most important for me is crust and cheese crust was crispy outside with some bubbles and good “Chewiness” once bite. Cheese was just enough, but not too much and was the real deal. The ingredients were super fresh- great peppers and the Italian sausage was great!!! Thin cut not balled. We also had a Greek salad and it was super fresh and really good olives and feta cheese. Service was so friendly and attentive and they just do a good job. Our night!!! I promise you you won't be disappointed"

"About 20$ for a medium Pizza Pie but although I asked for medium it seemed like a large/ extra large pizza. There are plenty of delicious gourmet vegan pizzas in New York, but when craving a large New York style of foldable pizza the pickings can be slim. The crust was good, the pizza sauce had a nice flavour but I’d suggest asking for extra sauce, and the vegan cheese had melted nicely but lacked salt. After putting garlic, crushed chilies and salt it was tasty and hit the spot."
