"I no longer live in Berkeley, but I enjoy exploring new restaurants that have taken the place of the ones I used to know. While doing my laundry at Central Launderette, I decided to grab lunch nearby. Unfortunately, Fausto's is no longer there, but Southside Station is a fantastic new addition. I ordered a basic fried chicken sandwich combo with fries and a drink for $17. The price may be steep, but it's typical for Berkeley these days, and it was definitely worth it. Fried chicken sandwiches are quite popular now, but this one stood out with its tempura-style batter, delicious brioche bun, and unique slaw. The fries were crispy and tasty, and I enjoyed the kindness of the owner who took the time to ask me about my day and chat with me after my meal. He also had a great selection of drinks for sale, including Taiwan Beer, which you don't see in many places. I would gladly return to try more items on the menu."
