"The location was great, but the food was not up to the typical BLT standard. I have enjoyed meals at this chain in Las Vegas and DC- both times I was quite satisfied with the food and service. Particularly disappointing was the popovers. When we received ours, one was lukewarm, thick and very hard. It was as though it hard been cooked the day before, frozen and then defrosted. The other popover was close , warm, thickness was correct- but again, very hard. I ordered a steak, and it was not exceptional. Needless to say, I would not order it again."

"This place is awesome! Best restaurant vibe and has great food. I’ve been here once before and we had friends visiting from OC NYC so this was my Austin pick for them to try! Sure didn’t disappoint!! We had 9PM reservations on a Saturday, got there 20mins early and the place was packed. We went to the bar and ordered a bottle of Wakatake Onigororshi. Table still wasn’t ready at 9:15 so we sat outside. Big shout out to host AARON who was so kind accommodating us hangry people. The edamame and shishito peppers he recommended to hold us over was so tasty! We ordered the hamachi chili, engawa, uni, A5 wagyu(must try! , scallops, yellowtail belly, masu (it was supposed to be the the Sakura masu cold dish/salad, but oh well , bak choy and a few others. There are so many things on the menu that I can’t wait to go back and try new items. And don’t pass on the desserts. We ordered lime chili sorbet, coffee ice cream and their special taro dish. Our server was great too. See ya’ll again next time. No photos made it this time since we devoured the food, aha!"

"Upon first glance, the dish presented itself as a promising one, with a beautifully plated raw fish at its center. However, as I took my first bite, it became apparent that the seasoning on the rice was overpowering. The bold flavors of the seasoning completely overshadowed the delicate and nuanced taste of the fish, leaving me with a sense of disappointment. Despite the quality of the fish itself, the lack of balance between the rice and fish left something to be desired. It is my hope that the chef can find a way to better highlight the true essence of the raw fish in future preparations."

"We celebrated our anniversary by having dinner at Watercolour Grillhouse on a Tuesday evening. From the start, our experience was excellent and without issue. The staff we interacted with was very polite, courteous, and knowledgeable. Our dinner (Steak Filet dish and Grouper dish) were reasonably priced and cooked as requested. "I love Watercolour. Great view overlooking Clearwater Bay. Weekend nights has live music. Food is very good. About the only down points I would give is the temperature of the restaurant. It was a little chilly. I was OK, but I like cool indoor temps. Other people did complain. I'll maybe try to get an outside table next time."

"There is a garage building within the same structure that you need to pay. Being in crowded center of Del Mar getting in and out is a factor in choosing over other Japanese restaurants. They have a nice outside sitting option which I recommend. The menu is extensive which I am not a big fan of but many of the items we tried were good. Some dishes were a little salty."

"I'll meet my friend once a week. We'll get dinner and start. Our plan was originally to go to a new place for dinner every week. But when we tried Twist, we stopped going elsewhere and have been regular in the last 5 months. It's great. Security is amazing, and says hello to us every week, our usual server is Miranda, she will come and say hello as well as being attentive to what we need. Brett is the literally best bar I've ever seen. It is incredibly easy with, incredibly attentive and shows real care for the customers. We stopped going to other places and Twist every week to choose for board. Since the beginning, he and all the others there, makes us very appreciated and welcome every time we go through these doors. I can't tell another business location the same thing."

"The vegan curry is amazing! The Lunch special comes with soup or salad (salad dressing contains dairy) but the soup is vegan. Has a dedicated vegetarian menu (full page on the back). Portions are very generous. The Thai peanut sauce is not great, tastes like ketchup and peanut butter. Do not order the meat. It is very poor quality, frozen from a bag and flavorless. If you are a meat eater dining with your vegan friend, I recommend just ordering from the vegetarian menu."

"This was my 2nd visit in 2 weeks and with both visits the host and server, Yoko, was rude. She rushed us out both times before we were ready to go. We asked to stay a few more minutes, but she said no. She didn't care and even though, there were many open tables with no one waiting, she didn't care about our visit. She was the most disrespectful person I have ever experienced. I will never go back and will gladly share my experience with whoever will listen. Customers should never experience such disrespect."

"Slow service event though restaurant less than 50% full. Drinks came out long after we were done with our appetizers. Ordered draft beer, waiter brought bottled beer, without checking with the table if we preferred an alternative. Main course took 45 min. after appetizers to be server. The main dishes (simple salmon Nigri) for one party (of 4 persons) at our table came out 20 min after after we were all done with our dinner, even though we repeatedly reminded and complained to the waiter. Rolls were over-spicy and not great. Poor offerings of sushi rolls. Too expensive for the poor quality, poor service. Would not recommend."

"I heard someone talk about ikigai at a nearby brewery, so we were very excited to try a sushi spot in waukegan. we were not satisfied with ikigai. the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. our server offered to answer all the questions we had about the menu, and the service was very fast. we ordered the chicken and black dumplings as an appetizer. they were unbelievable, and I loved the sose so much that I asked to keep the sose for our rolling. our server brought us a fresh bowl of sauce because I loved it very much. we ordered three different rolls for dinner the spicy thunfish roll, the spider roll and the waukegan roll. I couldn't tell you what my favorite was. they were all amazing and the portions of the fish in each roll were super generous. Note: I always have problems with the use of chipsticks. (I owe it to you to be left behind, but I know that's just an excuse. one of the employees recognized this and immediately offered a great tutorial on the use of file printers. it was very appreciated! we will definitely be regular!"

"We went there for a birthday dinner, the food was good, definitely a vibe, drinks were great. The things I feel they can improve on:Appetizer Calamari was fried really hard, like deep chicken fried. It took away from the taste, and the Aoli sauce (if that’s what is was) had no flavor.Fillet Oscar Style had no sauce. "Ordering online is impossible. No phone service/working line either. The food was good. A bit pricey but so is everything in Davis. Ordered a seafood boil combo #1 they completely forgot to add the sausage, but no way of knowing until i took it home and opened it. No way of calling either.
