"Bring the only poke spot on Ave U, I 've always wanted to check this place out and they have good reviews. However, recently, they switched owners, so the older reviews for this place might no longer reflect the current quality of restaurant (just a disclaimer). Anyways, I dined in on a Sunday night and was the only table for dine in during the duration we were there. It was clear this place is more of a takeout spot; there were a few people who came in to grab takeout. Service is good; the hostess was nice and gave recommendations. We ordered the sushi and sashimi platter which came with a variety of sashimi and sushi, and two regular rolls (opted for spicy shrimp roll and eel avocado). I would say sushi quality is definitely not the best I 've had, but I came in here with the expectation that I wouldn 't be eating great sushi anyways. The spicy shrimp roll wasn 't spicy and tasted different from the spot I usually order from. We ordered a few of the new special rolls (brooklyn roll and I forgot the other one). They were OK. We ordered some appetizers bbq squid and fried oysters. We also got the seafood fried rice. The bbq squid was good it was a full size squid sliced in pieces. The fried oysters were probably the best out of everything I ordered but it was still lacking. The seafood fried rice was smaller than I thought but still shareable. I definitely would not order again though because the rice had a lack of flavor. I also ordered the Thai iced tea, which was a mistake because it was definitely not authentic Thai iced tea you 'd get from a Thai restaurant and more of a bubble tea spot type of flavor, if you get what I mean. I guess I shouldn 't have expected much. Overall, I probably would not come back again. This was a disappointing meal and pricing wasn 't even that cheap for a la carte sushi. I can definitely say I had better quality sushi and food at AYCE sushi spots and that 's saying a lot."
