"take advantage of the possibility of restaurant week to taste new places. service was friendly and allowed a small substitution on the order was very appreciated. bottle of wine did not arrive until the appetizers were served. so tasting the wine led less than hot starter (firecracker garnelen) to get even cooler. short ripening main course was. but far from spectacular. gluten-free chocolate cake had a cheesecake like texture and was very good. beautiful wine list for this type of operation. eight years in the desert (2021)."

"We recently had a fundraiser at Buck Honey for our daughter Pia. Aimee was so wonderful in the planning process and asked good questions to make our event a success. Tom was so welcoming and generous for Pia and her fundraiser. We had to order more food (as it was of course delicious! throughout the night and the staff were so responsive to meet our needs. I would recommend B H and The Barrel Room, Aimee and Tom and the entire staff for each event. Thank you for everything!"

"with the whole food competition in the Madison area, the quality of the entrees was not compatible with the price. I pay $25 for a great escape. quality was not there. the sides were limited and did not fit well with all the escapes. Premium pages were an upgrade. we had the Weggu-Burger, which I would rate at 6.5/10 and tas hot comby, which was 7/10."

"Had a great experience. Started with a nice seat location as requested. Our server, Brittany, was prompt and helpful. She tuned into our pace for dinner and was respectful of that. Ordered a dinner salad to split. They portioned it into two plates for us which was great. The portion size was big for a modest charge and it was an excellent salad. The blackened Mahi-mahi was rather small and not really blackened as you would expect. However it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The green beans were fresh and done just right. Probably the best mushroom risotto I have ever had. The stuffed chicken breast was one of the best my wife has ever had. Didn’t need the sage sauce annd we kept that on the side. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The coating was light and the seasoning was perfect. The brussel sprouts are the best you will get anywhere. We don’t even care for brussel sprouts, but always order them here. They brought us two glasses of champagne for our anniversary and a brownie/ice cream dessert. Unexpected and appreciated. Really nice touch. Restaurant has an interesting and diverse menu you just don’t get elsewhere. Kudos to the chef and the owners for the care and thought they put into it."

"My ears are still ringing. I had a nightmare about it. It was unpleasant. Our server was really good and tried hard, bless her. But the crowded noisy environment was awful and totally unspectacular food didnt redeem it."
