"We always love this place, take both out and personally. The pizza is our favorite, with lots of cheese and a really nice sauce. The salads are fresh and generous and we're in love with the Tempura iceplant. who knew? We were recently there as an extended family with an active three-year-old: We ate outside on the veranda during a violent thunderstorm, but got no raindrop on us, and the service was super friendly and efficient. We even went home with lots of left and a supplemental leaks! Very recommended!"

"We were a large group on Valentine's weekend Saturday night and this place was great. It was everyone's first time and we chose it because the location was central to where everyone lived. "I just want to say as a disclaimer: I love this place and I’m only posting because I’m extremely disappointed. This was the bruschetta. I’ve never had a worse bruschetta. It’s too bad because their chicken piccata is out of this world!! So delicious. But this is like the worst thing I’ve ever ordered lol. There isn’t even any basil which it was supposed to have. I would’ve complained in person but it was a to go order."

"My girlfriend and I stopped for an early dinner a couple months ago and were genuinely surprised how good the food was as well as how much fun Jena our waitress was. We've been back a couple more times since and were not disappointed by our meals. The food is always excellent, the price great, the service great regardless how busy the restaurant gets, serving size is amazing and Jena always remembers us!!! We will always request her to be our waitress every time we return which we will. Please share this with her and tell her Mark and Wendy do go to Mangias for her attentiveness, her efficiency and definitely her personality as much as we come to enjoy the amazing food!!! "This place has gone from zero to heroes under new management. It's not the same place we went 25 years ago. Prices are moderate. The food is abundant. The atmosphere is casually elegant and there is plenty of room to eat and feel safe in, unlike a very popular restaurant nearby that was packed for Sunday dinner. "Just moved here to South Lawrence, was online looking for a Great place too order pizza and more. Found Nick's Place, 10% off 1st online order, so I ordered a Lg meat lovers pizza and steak fries. Super fast delivery awesome delivery person, pizza was cooked to perfection, this will be my only go to place for pizza, pasta, subs, dinners and more. Great hours also. I have been to their Winthrop location great friendly service and food, what can I say thanks for having a location in here in Lawrence. There is no other place to go to bit Nicks Place their menue covers it all and everything is fresh and has very reasonable price$. I will not be going anywhere else! I have never had a bad meal at either location! Thanks will be back"

"This was the first stop of our night out with family and friends, ranging in age from 1 to 80 years old. It was an early dinner and then on to the Botanical Gardens for the holiday light show so we weren’t on a deadline. Good thing, too… we arrived at Shells Sauce at 3:30pm and due to the extreme delay between ordering and then the food arriving at our table; and again after having finished and finally receiving our bill; the experience took two full hours, start to finish. Other than that, it was fantastic. We were warmly welcomed at the door by a gentleman we originally mistook for another patron (since he was wearing a coat and hat), the menu had something for everyone (including the vegetarian, the carnivore and the baby), the food was fantastic and the mood was festive (took awhile for us to catch on that the servers were participating in an Ugliest Holiday Sweater contest with each other). I’ll be back!"

"The pizza was cold and burnt, with only about 8 small pieces of cheese, indicating that they are cutting corners to save money. The crust was so hard that it was practically inedible. When I mentioned this to the manager, he jokingly offered to take a dollar off my next dessert. It was quite a laugh, especially since I had just given a $5 tip. What an experience!"
