"I have to be honest anyone who gives this place fewer than 4 stars is a fricken' mook. In short this place is exceptional and deserves to be a pizzeria with a Michelin star. I go to a lot of well regarded pizzerias around the north east. This pizza certainly is exceptional. I'm going to work my way through the menu and update my review. The part that really stands out to me is how they've tuned the sauce and the cooking time. THe pizza is cooked perfectly and the crust is possibly the best I have ever had. I generally do not even eat crust, but the Seppe crust is next level. Most restaurant's breadsticks aren't this good. The sauce is fresh and herbal. This is not my preferred style of sauce but it's a matter of taste. I know people who like pizza sauce that is seasoned like midwest pizza. I feel like seppe's red sauce is the Michelin star version of that sauce for people who prefer their martinis with gin. Something that exceed my expectations were the atmosphere and vibe. I kinda don't like the luxury rental vibe of urby. What I found is seppe is a mix of a neighborhood pizzeria and a neighborhood pizzeria in one. To me Lee's tavern is the greatest pizza bar I've ever been to. Seppe is abut as good but it has a 21st century vibe when Lee's has a 20th century authentic Americana vibe. Great whiskey selection, great signature coctails, great classic coctails, very reasonably priced drinks for a NYC spot with a michilin star. Beer costs less here than other fancy pizza bars on the island I won't name. There are probably ten spots on the island this good, but this is the place that has the vibe the folk's at michilin like. It feel like a Keith McNally restaurant on Staten Island with staten island prices. You can get that experience close to home, without a reservation, for a very affordable price, and it feels like a neighborhood spot. An amazing opportunity to people on the island, and frankly worth traveling to for people outside of staten island."
