"Food was good but service was a somewhat slow for restaurant which was not busy. This was a business dinner so service needs to be attentive without smothering: Cocktails took longer then average for a bar which was not at all busy Appetizers took much longer than average to be served but were good Bread was not made available as a starter. This is always a sign of venue trying to cut back Entrées arrived at a good time after appetizers completed and were good Waitress forgot a cocktail for someone wanted seconds Business dinner took 2.5 hrs for 6 people which is too long. Should be 2 hrs. In summary, good food experienced by all but slow service. Include bread as a starter if you don't want to look chincy!"

"JD has tapped the market for a delicious and perfectly prepared steak. Fish, however, dry and not as well prepared though pricey. I recommend the steak with baked potato and mushroom risotto. The steak does NOT need anything on it, no sauce at all. Halibut was dry as mentioned. My husband didnt enjoy that near as much. The side he chose was rice pilaf, which interesting, is mostly wild rice without much flavor. Not recommended. Get the risotto. Hashbrowns come as a large pancake style hash. Not what I expected so I either should have asked more questions or ordered the baked potato. Wonderful cocktail options, perfect Old Fash, wine selection is great and the per glass selection is adequate. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and evening out at JD. We may return after trying other restaurants in the area first."

"Had a great dinner. The staff and the service were the best notch. Everyone was gracious and attentive, without being overlaid. The live piano added an extra nice touch to the whole atmosphere. I ordered Calamari for my appetizers and it was delicious! It was beautiful and crispy with two amazing sauces. My main dish was the salmon and it was perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend this restaurant!"

"5 in our party. we had to wait to take a place, even though we had reservations. our server was excellent, very attentive, to check if we had everything we needed. our food arrived immediately and was prepared as ordered. as there was a birthday in our party, this guest received her choice to free dessert. everything in all twigs was not disappointed. we will return to dinner again."

"great meal. the first time since the takeover and redesign of new owners. this despite the fact that we are long-term residents in the opposite. expected expectations really. the staff was energetic and engaged. the property met with us before and after we were served. the chef also saw. grouper and cesar salad new york strip and suppe des tages steamed lobster tail and loaded (di) baked kartoffel for entrees. vanilla bean cheesecake x2 and chocolate torte for desert. the food was perfect."

"Food, service and ambience are fantastic. I had some of the best Calamari at Ivy. My banana encrusted white fish was perfect. The desserts are exceptional... if you have room after your meal. My apple pecan caramel bread pudding was for dying. The food is presented artistically, but it has not distracted from taste. We had a party of 11 for Moms 80. They surprised them with a complementary cream brunette dessert. Our server, Erin, was very attentive and helpful with the menu. By the way, we loved the illuminated menus, making it easy to read! Our appetizers, ducks and desserts came out in a timely way. The stained glass windows and vaulted ceilings are beautiful what an elegant atmosphere, but you have a casual feeling for the place too. No need to be dressy, just be yourself. Good selection of wine, beer and drinks. Free multi-level garage parking right behind the restaurant (5 min walk) or Valet front. Finally, the owner Dick O'Gorman visits every table to ensure that you are satisfied with your culinary experience. Very recommended for every occasion."

"Everything and I mean, everything here is absolutely sublime! From the beginning, if you draw the artworks on the shield until time to pay the check, you will not be left off! When you go through the door, the ambience just pulls you in. Find a place and spend some time. Our waitress Morgan was fantastic. All she recommended sounded not only great, but the tase, exquisite! I mean, I rarely get excited about a restaurant and rarely give a 5 stars, perfect rating. The boss and the frog is certainly the exception. The soup of the day was cream from squash and goat cheese soup. Mwahh. Wonderful. Creamy. Flavorful. The French onion was just as convincing! It may sound likerd, but the chicken quesadila was full and tasteful! Should I say the best I had?! The court of the day was the Cambodian beef. When I say taste bomb, I mean FLAVOR BOMB! That was so good that I ordered another one for dinner home. The owner came out and spoke to us for a minute and that increased our experience even more! He was so kind. His wife is the cook and let me tell you he loves this woman! We also met her for a short time and you can say that her heart is in her food. We finished the meal with banana care. That was only bananas! The best I ever had! They make all the deserts home. No boxed ingredients. Everything's fresh. Make yourself a favor and try this place. You will thank me and your taste buds will thank you!"

"Exceptional food in an authentic, non-demanding environment. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, which added to the great experience. For bread lovers, there are 3 different breads, all of which are made there and are all wonderful. I stop on the way out of town to pick up bread and take it home to friends. My salad was fabulous and the vodka chicken pasta (a specialty) was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. The specials change with the seasons. Desserts are all made there and everyone looked great. We share the ice cream on Sunday with homemade caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache. It was wonderful. You can share it with 4 people as it is very large. We will definitely have dinner here again when we return to Mayo and Golf."

"Showed up with a couple of friends and a 1 year old, asked for a table and a high chair. Since it was Sunday they only seat at the bar. That 's fine, but they first tried to seat us at a tall table...guess we are gonna put the 1 year old under the table in his high chair? They move us to a regular table. After 15 minutes they finally take our drink order. We get our drinks about 5 minutes later. But then it takes another 10 minutes for them to come back to take our food order. We order our food. The waitress comes by and drops off some bread sticks. They bring out my house salad I ordered and I ask for silverware. She takes our glasses and brings us refills. No silverware. We sit there for 15 minutes. In which she walks by our table 3 more times and won 't even make eye contact so I can remind her about needing silverware. It 's the bar so it is loud and i can 't just say excuse me unless I were to yell. I am leaning back in my chair away from the table arms crossed showing all the signs that I 'm not happy. Still nothing. We finally give up and stand up. Another waitress asks if everything is OK and we say we are just gonna go and ask how much for our drinks? She says let me get your ticket. She comes back and says don 't worry about it. After an hour in the place the only thing we had accomplished was getting drinks and a salad that couldn 't even be eaten because we could not get silverware. Very disappointing experience for my first time to try the place. Will also be my last time! If you are going to be a high class restaurant with high class prices. Maybe you should treat your customers like they matter. Even a simple we are behind, but we are working on it would suffice. Ignoring your customers is not the answer."

"The experience overall we would rate as average. Sat down at 8 for dinner. Bread we were served as just short of hard. Initial service was fine, as we got appetizers we placed our order and didn't receive meals until 9:25. Waitress disappeared for 20 mins or so. I finally asked if our 6 year old could get his Mac and cheese at least and then suddenly our waitress found all meals, a steak, and scallops. Not a huge or hard order. It wasn't super crowded so that couldn't be excuse and at no point did a manager stop and ask about service or meal. Food was good. Service is everything, managers need to do a better job."

"My dad and I ate here on Saturday night. We were in town from Ohio, looking for a local restaurant close to the Marriott. We stumbled upon this place accidentally as we were looking for a pizza place ? We we’re not disappointed! We ordered the lobster bisque, Greek salad, and the gyros platter. This was my first time trying dolmas and they were amazing! My dad said that this was the best lamb he’s ever had tender, fresh, delicious! 10/10 would recommend"
