"I’ve walked by Mizuki countless times, always thinking that someday I would want to eat there. A friend attended a birthday party there and mentioned that she really enjoyed it. We were on the lookout for a new dinner spot, and Mizuki came to mind. I’m so glad we chose it! Everything was excellent. There were four of us, and we all agreed that our meals were outstanding. We will definitely be returning. As I left, I had a chance to speak with the owners, complimenting them on the wonderful dinner and assuring them that we would be back."

"The experience started out great! My family was seated near the front window in the bar area. Our waitress was amazing. Things began to go south midway through our meal. The wait area began to overflow into our eating space. None of the staff attempted to control the crowd. Kids were allowed to play in front of us (that 's a flaw on the parents ' part). Also, there was a mobile cart with silverware positioned next to our table. The clanking noise from all the servers going back and forth to gather silverware for incoming customers also became more prominent over time. It was sensory overload. If I wanted a 'fast food ' or 'theme park ' dining experience, I would 've chosen a different restaurant for my family. There are so many other dining options in Williamsburg that offer more flavorful food and a better dining experience. Itchiban missed the mark and We won 't be back!"

"We went here for our sons birthday and noted that on our reservation and upon check in. While the restaurant was quite busy (they had a table of 20 to attend to) wait staff was very limited. Our server, Alvin, was very friendly. But it seemed he was the only one able to help with refills, getting checks, etc which made for a very long wait. The food was OK at best. We had sushi, Chinese, Hibachi and the Korean BBQ and none of it knocked our socks off. A couple of mentionables: the Korean BBQ was interesting in that you cook yourself at the table; different and fun. Second: the restrooms have a very foul odor (not from use but something else) which either management and/or patrons try to masque with Febreeze and does not work. I don’t think we will be returning and cannot recommend to others. Sorry."

"I’m not typically one to write reviews but I had to share my honest experience which was . I was seated perfectly fine and so far service was nice until I started receiving our orders. The soup was lukewarm-cold and just looked like old broth and tasteless when we received it. The Sake was lukewarm-cold as well and when we sent it back for another one, we got the same one but it was microwaved instead which completely altered and ruined the taste. We ordered sushi which was strangely chewy and tasted inedible. Next we received our hibachi meal, it had somewhat good portions, maybe couldve been less but it was okay. On the other hand the meal was drenched in sauce or oil or whatever it was and it completely threw me off and I immediately knew my stomach would be ruined. Not only that but our meat was raw!!!!!! We did ask for medium rare but it shouldn’t be that hard to cook it that way with no red. Not only that but when we sent out food back, with no intention to eat anything else, we got our food back but without the meat which is considered cross contamination. The customer service was awful as well. We tried to be nice when confronting them about it but the manager made it hard. We asked to pay for 2 items only yet instead were insisted on given a discount which is unfair to pay for inedible food. I ended up paying around 40-50$ just for sushi, a drink, and sake that wasnt even good. The manager/owner was kind of stingy and stubborn as well with his response to other reviews!! Honestly I dont know how this restaurant isn’t shut down yet, it’s completely disturbing. On the bright there was one understanding worker other than that I wouldn’t recommend this place if my life depended on it. ???"

"Love this place!!! The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was because some of the food was a little too salty. The dumplings and spicy edamame had great flavor and was very fresh. I had the bird on fire. The kale on it was perfectly crisp. The chicken was full of flavor and had a perfect tenderness. My daughters meal was great as well. She had some sushi and shrimp tempura and some type of raw fish (I’m allergic to shellfish). The mango sticky rice and fried ice cream was a great night cap. I will come back over and over again."

"During my recent visit to this restaurant, I was not feeling well and had a limited appetite for a large meal. I ordered a miso soup and a spicy tuna roll, which were good. We informed the waitress of my shellfish allergy and she acknowledged it. However, when the chef came out to cook at our table, there was no show and he immediately started grilling shrimp, despite my allergy. When I kindly informed him of my allergy, he dismissively told me that he wasn't cooking for me, only the other people in my group. This lack of consideration and empathy was very disappointing and one of the most rude encounters I've had with a chef. His disregard for my safety also prevented me from even trying anything off my husband's plate, as he continued to cook with shellfish in close proximity. Overall, I was disappointed by the chef's attitude towards my allergy, which could have had serious consequences for me."
