"Every time I visit Seattle, I have to eat at Ivar. I love the fish and chips and the chowder, but I'm excited to try some of the newer menu elements they added over the years. The regular fish and chips are absolutely excellent and are the gold standard against which I judge all others. I just visited the Aurora suburb and found the staff incredibly warm and friendly. The woman who took my order seemed to recognize most people who came and treated all like family. She's a jewel! The old music in the dining room is a funny touch. Prices are high yes, but are incredibly fair when you look at the quality of the fish. The fish is not cooked until you order it, so you can wait about 10 minutes. Maybe a little more when they're busy. It is worth always recommending waiting high!!"

"I hadn't been to Ivar's in awhile and I just want to say, amazing experience! The food has always been great. We had the scallops, cod, coleslaw and clam chowder. Yummy as usual but what set this apart was the service, cleanliness and overall experience there today. Sarah greeted us and took our order and was so sweet and professional! Rodney, who was the manager, spent time in kitchen cooking, served food, checked on everybody and really cared. They are so nice there and such hard workers. They made my day!"
