"I never thought I'd write less than a 5-star score for the Pines. They were always above average in all those years I enjoyed there. But this last visit can only be described as disappointing. The coating on the fish was soggy (fish on a plate) and the frits limp. I don't know why they've changed their revolving basket to some sort of Bland bread, but I hope they change it again (my sister said it tastes like the common bread from the church of our grandfather). My mother's berry cake was cold (not room temperature, but actually cold refrigerator). The Hummingbird Cake (one of my favorite moist cakes) was very dry and tasteless. I went with four stars because the other diners in my party were mostly satisfied with their meals, but overall it was not a good experience."
