"14 Carrot Cafe is located just down the street from my home on Eastlake. I have wanted to check this place out for awhile now but based on the operating hours it has never met my schedule. Recently, my wife and I were vacationing in Arizona and we flew home extremely early the other day. I realized that this was finally my chance to stop by 14 carrot on the way home and get some grub. One thing I always complain about living downtown Seattle is there is never restaurants that feel mom and pop like. I come from a small town growing up and this is something important that I miss. Everyplace in downtown is so modern or tries to be trendy and this isn't always the best especially for breakfast. 14 Carrot Cafe was immediately the place I've been looking for! The second we walked in I knew I found a breakfast place that would be amazing. We were greated and got to select our seating. Quickly the kind waitress took our drink order and the food honestly came almost 5 minutes after. The service was great and quick. My mimosa was strong in a good way and the glass was large. Of course on an eggs Benny the poached egg is always the determine factor to make or break the meal. The eggs were cooked just right.
