"I ordered the fluke special, but it arrived dry and almost seemed like it had been left out under the lamps for too long. When I requested some lemon caper butter to go with it, our server brought out a bowl of capers instead. Additionally, there was a bad potato in my dish that was black inside (see attached photo). The kitchen manager came out and offered me a replacement dish, so I tried the fried scallops, which were average at best. The cole slaw tasted old and the overall meal was bland.
To make matters worse, we were charged for the subpar scallop meal and a cake that was brought out after we requested the check and stated that we wanted to leave. Despite informing the restaurant of our disappointing experience via Facebook message and being promised a refund, we have not received any compensation. We will be returning to Westerly for my birthday in 2020, but we will be avoiding Sea Goose. Perhaps we will try a different restaurant, even if it's a Long John Silver's, at least they give you a fork."
