"This place reminds me of the family restaurants I went back in the 80s. It was nostalgic for me. The staff was nice and helpful. Many seats, so don't wait. The menu has a number of options for all in the family. We were in the middle of the afternoon for a late lunch. I opted for the BLT chicken sandwich (usually seasoned grilled chicken breast with bacon, salad, tomatoes and avocado on a sesame seed bunker), and knitter fries (do not shade these in years). I enjoyed my meal together with an unsweetened iced tea. My son has spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was al Dente, which was good, but the sauce tasted funny (I confirmed that when I tried a bite). It was kind of sweet, but not like a typical marinara sauce. It came with a big meatball that was so dense that he had a hard time to cut it. He's twelve and usually has no problem cutting things. He was disappointed with his meal and could eat only a quarter of the big portion they gave him. Actually, I can't say I blame him. That's how it's somehow hit or measured, depending on the court. Prices are somewhat high, but if you only visit the area, it is a decent choice compared to some of the other options."

"We requested outdoor dining but my 13 year old was being a brat- so we went inside. Costa our server was extremely patient and understanding. He took great care of us and although probably very busy made sure we were in and out in a timely manner since we were in a time crunch due to basketball tournament in the area. I’ve been in this business for 30 years and I’m very hard to please as a guest. Costa made our experience awesome and we will be back!!!"

"After spending a day at the Charleston Navy Yard and then up at Bunker Hill, we decided on an early dinnner. The closest place was (thankfully) downhill all the way on Pleasant street, a relatively easy walk. On a Tuesday afternoon at about 5 pm, we found the Warren Tavern not at all crowded and we were quickly seated in the room to the left after entering the front door (there was also outdoor seating). We had the room to ourself and took some time to admire the old thick beams in the construction and the provincial decorations. Our seat by the window also overlooked Main Street and it was nice just to watch the people and traffic go by on that beautiful afternoon. We both had the clam chowder, which was quite good, although perhaps not the absolute best we had while in the Boston area. We also both had the short rib shepherds pie, which turned out to be a hearty and tasty entree. Indeed, it was difficult to finish the dishes, since they were so filling. Dinner for two came out to just under $60, not including tax or tip. We didn't see any dedicated parking for the Tavern, and Pleasant Street is narrow and appears to be one-way. That wasn't a problem for us this visit, since I'd left our car at the Nautica parking garage (over near the Navy Yard), after dinner it was simple enough to walk the couple of blocks back there, collect the car, and then drive back to the Tavern to pick up the other member of our party waiting out front. Overall, a good meal in an attractive old building. I'll look forward to visiting again when we're next in the area."

"Fast service with food and drinks from our initial server male. And then female server came to our table and was very aggressive. Trying to remove plates from our table without asking if we were done. I was, literally, putting food in my mouth and she grabbed my plate. And within mins she was back offering to box up our food. Had to ask her not to return to our table and we would call out to someone, if we needed assistance. The restaurant had other tables available, so there was no need to rush us out. Food was good and hot, reasonablypriced, and wellproportioned"

"We waited approximately 45 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and the food took about an hour and a half after we ordered. We ended up being there for around three hours. While the music was enjoyable, it was far too loud, making it difficult for us to have a proper conversation. It seems the kitchen doesn't have an efficient system in place. I've been to other excellent Colombian restaurants with outstanding service, so I wouldn’t choose to return."

"Great experience. Went for Anniversary Dinner. I do not eat seafood at all!!! My boyfriend made me try coconut shrimp sooo good!!! He also had me try mahi mahi sticks rhey literally tastes like chicken fingers. My boyfriend enjoyed his mofongo made from yuca with shrimp. I truly enjoyed my arroz con habichuelas y churrasco. Our waitress Ely was the nicest. Passion fruit Margaritas Drinks were great. Dessert was delicious. Definitely going back!!! Thanks Salitre!!!"

"So disappointing all around. I called in for takeout, spelled my name for the gal on the phone, but still had a hard time finding my order amongst the bags at the takeout table, as my name was misspelled... Yes, you retrieve your bag yourself and walk it over to the seated cashier to pay at another table. Not sure why he had a tip jar out as it 's not like he was going above and beyond here. I questioned the price and was told tax . OK, but he had no answer as to why my amount ended in perfect zeros after punching the numbers into his calculator, over by about 63 cents. I didn 't argue further about the rounded-up price, but red flag waving if they 're doing this to everyone. Got home to find a different pasta than what I specified. I had a chicken pasta dish which was way more pasta than chicken, and totally lacking in flavor. My partner 's soup was salty and lacking in stock. They were so much better years ago at the old location."

"One of Chinatowns best kept secrets till recently went to this restaurant 3 years back when the clientele was all Chinese and the menu was in Chinese too that has changed.... The soup dumplings are to die for ... Juicy and taut and bursts with flavor in ur mouth ... Don't go crazy when they bring the dumplings . Let it cool just a minute or two before u jump in.. U might burn ur lips I did The slow cooked pork tongpo pork is another signature here ...with steamed bread this dish is a delight the real thing as opposed to the momofuku pork buns at their outrageous prices Good lunch specials... Even general Tso chicken tastes different crispier than the run of the mill restaurants ..."

"i only been here a few times over the years just ordering basic dishes ,, but my last takeout was chicken pan fried noodles and it pretty good ,, but it has American vegi in a brown sauce .. not like your typical chinatown rests with chinese vege in lite sauce .. i thought and assumed ,, this place seems authentic for real chinese dishes based on reviews .. another surprise ,, it was cold by the time i got home ,, about 20 minutes ,, and i never had chinese takeout being cold , ha ,.. big surprise ,, so i actually warmed it in the microwave .. other than that,,, both my dishes were good .. oh ,, and the pan fried noodles was a nice big dish .. as you see in my photo .. $33 total ,, with yangchow fried rice .."

"Very cute and cozy space. Honestly, the best part was the bread and oil so good. Service was quick and everyone was attentive. The food was tasty and cooked perfectly. My only complaint would be the portion sizes. For the price of the food I'd like a little more. I never finish my food and always have leftovers, but this portion was small enough that I ate it all. "this is the kind of place to love eating on seafood eater and veg*ns will be mystified as why. I think I am biased, I don't like seafood restaurants where the sweet food tends to be overpriced, uninspired and weakly fishy. I had the Kale salad and some of it was yellow. I was there with a group and didn't pick it up, but it's definitely not a place where I'd dress happy ****. it is a little sad cuh honest. Sure, there are several salads that they can delete enough ingredients until they are vegan, but just a stone throw away from green elephant. if they say something in the thing, they go somewhere else!"
