"Cute, quaint sushi restaurant on Broadway the perfect waypost for Lloyd District date nights and outings. First and foremost, Yuki Sushi is incredibly lavish upscale, while still being rather affordable. My GF and i were able to split two full sized sushi rolls (Portland Oregon rolls, yum! Ingredients are fresh ad high quality, which makes all of the difference! Secondly and just as importantly, but the ambiance of this spot is worth a visit alone. Traditional Japanese art adorns the walls, but modern Pop music plays on the stereo, drifting on the breeze while the staff watched hockey on a big screen TV. It's the right mixture of authenticity without pandering. It's a mellow, super high quality restaurant for people that love Japanese food and sushi. That is all. Finally, and also just as importantly, but this is one of the first sushi restaurants my girlfriend and i ever ate at. We didn't have much money when we lived closer to Broadway. This was one of the first places we visited when we first started dating and were clawing our way out of starving artist land. It's beyond meaningful to be able to just dip in here and get a couple of sushi rolls and some green tea on a sunny afternoon, shopping for Halloween supplies and just being together. I sat and quietly read my book while my GF scrolled IG as we were waiting for our food. Rihanna rode the airwaves while golden Oct. sun shifted slantwise through the blinds. A truly peaceful, blissful feeling, quiet and subtle and all the more meaningful because of it. Recommend this sushi spot if yr ever in NE/Lloyd District and are looking for a reprieve from the madding crowds."
