"If it's February at East End of Long Island, the restaurant is not on Main Street, and you still have problems finding a parking lot, you know before you get in the door something good is going in here! And at Bell Anchor everything is food, service and ambience! Open about eight years; this is really a jewel sitting along Noyack Road with access to the bay and view. We started our enjoyable experience by ordering the Hone Port Chowder and dozens of Montauk Pearl Oysters for a dollar of any special. Your Chowder really belongs to the best I enjoyed creamy, briny, tasteful and velvety. Bacon adds a subtle smoky hint to the cream. The ro homes were juicy, fresh and served with a well prepared mignonette sauce. Our entrees included the Grilled Flat Iron Steak with sauteed spinach, fries and bearnaise butter and the fish of the day, a tile fish on a bed of Edamame, and seasonal vegetables served in a Chardonnay sauce. The meal was exceptional! Our biggest compliments to the two chefs here!!! And so we just had to try their desserts. Finally we ordered the Dreamy Brownie Sunday and Mandel Cake with Marscapone Cream. Then we drove to our car! In fact, this is a great restaurant to enjoy. Fortunately, they are open all year round and take reservations in high season. So if you have time to explore the eastern end before the commemorative day, put Bell Anchor in your GPS. Spend a wonderful day in Southampton and Sag Harbor, go around Trout Pond and cross the street to this beautiful restaurant. If you are lucky, Anne will be your server and take care of you!"

"I made reservations for 3:30, when we arrived they told us we still need to wait 15 minutes which would have been fine except we didn 't get seated for over AN HOUR LATER. While we were waiting the guy at the door basically told us that even though we 've been waiting a while don 't let that be an excuse to stay long because he goes home when we go home and he wants to go home. Once inside we were sat in their garden which is a very tiny space where you 're crammed at your seat with very little space to even move your chair back. They did however give us champagne as soon as we sat down, so now we were thinking our brunch experience would finally be turned around but no. The waiters asked which juices we would like to mix or champagne with and came back with two dirty glasses which looked poorly cleaned if cleaned at all. When i asked for another class she replied Oh that 's from the strawberry juice from earlier with no apology or regard to potential allergies. They took our food order pretty quickly however we didn 't receive our food for another hour later. The music was HORRIBLE, they seemed to be playing songs from youtube scrambling between workers to find a song to follow the last listening to the music from Revel next door would have been a better option). Finally, most tables seemed to be clearing out since it was a little after 6... we however were still not at our 2 hour limit which was promised, so then a worker turns off the music and tells us that we need to leave. We respond that we paid for 2 hours as did everyone else today and should be respected of that 2 hour limit he then began to yell at us to get out and told the waiters to start clearing off our table which they did). We were rushed and yelled out and we requested to speak to the manger. The manger could care less about our complaints he replied with sarcastic comments and carried on smoking his cigarette. This was hands down the worst brunch experience i ever had."
