"I first discovered Katherine Anne several years ago for their amazing salted caramel marshmallows, after learning they usually use honey instead of corn syrup in their recipes. Then I kind of moved along.Then recently I became interested in hot chocolate and Katherine Anne came up in my searches. I 've tried the yummy salted caramel/hazelnut/FEW bourbon hot chocolate, and most of the primary hot chocolate flavors, all have been rich and satisfying and I appreciate the complimentary choice of homemade marshmallow.I also tried a few of the truffles recently and was impressed by the subtle flavors and generous size of the truffles. For some reason a lot of local and fine chocolate makers seem to attempt to miniaturize their candies but Katherine Anne proudly offers almost-two-bite size chocolates. I like the use of white chocolate (which I still consider real chocolate unlike chocolate snobs) in a few of their flavors including the lemon poppyseed.The only change I would prefer is if they had some small tongs to utilize when placing the truffles you select into a bag, instead of their bare fingers.Other than that, I think I will probably start giving a box of Katherine Anne truffles and their salted caramel marshmallows as gifts starting soon!"
