"Early 70s to the beginning of the 1980s, occasionally in the early 1990s. I haven't been there for about 9-10 years and was disappointed at that time. But recently, good things heard about her, so I tried her. It was very good. Sashimi was excellent, the cattle grower was great and the dumplings were good. My pig-catsu duck was great. Wine selection limited, but had a great California Sauvignon Blanc that is one of my favorite wines. Overall very beautiful experience."

"We ordered Sukiyaki, salmon sashimi, and tuna tataki. All of the dishes were extremely delicious. I particularly enjoyed the tuna tataki, which was served generously as an appetizer. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, the quality of the food justified the cost. Overall, a great dining experience!"

"We ordered the all you can eat Shabu Shabu, just sirloin steak. I have had Shabu Shabu in Japan with Kobe beef. Nothing can beat that. I had Shabu Shabu in Washington State, I believe the beef was better quality there. The Shabu Shabu at Kobe An was acceptable but not the best quality. I’ve always liked just the difference in the dining experience. It wasn’t bad but just not as good as I expected. Service was great and the restaurant atmosphere was good. I would go back but I think I would upgrade to the Waygu beef. I’d like to see how it might make a difference."

"Decent Japanese food, with decent service. If you are looking for very nice Japanese you'll likely be somewhere else. Good vegetarian choices, appetizers as well as entrees. The miso cod is good, as well as the volcano vegetarian roll. The set dinner at 27 is a pretty good choice."

"We decided to try out this sushi restaurant on a whim while we were in the area, and I'm so glad we did! The service was friendly and prompt, with a nice selection of dishes and drinks to choose from. We ordered a variety of items including takoyaki, rainbow roll, superstar, locust, nam4, and tamago nigiri, and everything was fresh and delicious. The fried items were crispy and warm, the takoyaki was flavorful with a crunchy exterior and hot filling. They provided plenty of wasabi and pickled ginger as well. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, with plenty of space and 80s music playing in the background at just the right volume. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant every time I'm in Walnut Creek!"

"the most fantastic sushi restaurant in cincinnati. wing on a laune, after an anime con, in the congress center and was blown away. fish is consistently delicious (fresh), good value, regardless of that it is halfway or not (it is on Thursday), and the rolls are different then what on any other sushi place in cincinnatis menu. they also have everything they can eat sushi. I almost don't want to advertise, that's such a good deal. make sure to pay sometimes the full price, because it is a true shade. I can't get away from this restaurant."

"beautiful and clean room, very quiet for a Friday night. the menu has been dated, not many nutritional options. Sushi menu was very standard, nothing that ignites our curiosity or our palate. the sushiwe ordered looked good, but just didn't taste fresh. house loved was nice, others said we were good. "Three generations celebrated my grandpa's 89th birthday here and it was amazing. Most of the time when a restaurant already has a great view, the food doesn't need to be that good. But after the first few appetizers one word kept coming from all of us: Authentic. For a table of 7 adults, we ordered the following. Everything was solid, but the items that were absolute hits with the entire group were ordered twice. It was a perfect late summer day out on the patio. Soft tofu x2 (grated fresh ginger and bonito brought this back to my childhood) Rainbow carpaccio x2 (came with a perfect watermelon radish garnish) Grilled beef tongue x2 Assorted sashimi platter x2 Assorted sushi platter x2 Tempura Cold soba x2 Stir fried shishitos Takowasabi (for the octopus fans) Tonkatsu (the authentic marker was the side of spicy Japanese mustard in addition to the traditional sauce and cabbage) Hamachi Kama they were out so we tried miso cod instead and this was also a crowd pleaser I ordered a Calpico and my husband ordered an iced green tea, but by the time we realized they hadn't come out dinner was almost over. Being pregnant I still wanted my drink but hubs was ok without anyways. For dessert, we split the following: Green ice cream x3 yes Green tea cake ice cream and the green tea cake was light and not too sweet, really nice. This place managed to exceed everyone's expectations. One of the perks for us is the patio is dog friendly. We're definitely coming back."

"This was my 2nd visit in 2 weeks and with both visits the host and server, Yoko, was rude. She rushed us out both times before we were ready to go. We asked to stay a few more minutes, but she said no. She didn't care and even though, there were many open tables with no one waiting, she didn't care about our visit. She was the most disrespectful person I have ever experienced. I will never go back and will gladly share my experience with whoever will listen. Customers should never experience such disrespect."
