"I had a great experience at this Indian restaurant. They offer cloth napkins and tablecloths, and the service is excellent without being intrusive. The atmosphere is peaceful and calming. When we mentioned that we were new to Indian food and had different preferences (my date likes mild dishes, while I prefer spicy), the staff were very accommodating and suggested dishes that suited our tastes. The prices are reasonable, and we left with leftovers. The location is a bit hidden in a strip mall along Army Trail Rd, but it's definitely worth the effort to find. We will definitely be coming back."

"I recently found myself in a bit of a culinary predicament near Grand Central Station one evening around 9 pm. Most restaurants had already closed their doors, but luckily, I stumbled upon Joy Curry and Tandoor, and it turned out to be a delightful discovery. As a food enthusiast, I was in search of a satisfying meal, and this restaurant did not disappoint. Despite the late hour, they still had a variety of options available for takeaway. I opted for the meal pack, which included two curries, vegetables, naan, and extra rice. Now, let's dive into the flavors. While I was pleased with most of the dishes, there were a couple that didn't quite hit the mark. The samosas and palak paneer, unfortunately, fell a bit short in terms of taste. They lacked the robust flavors I had come to expect from these dishes. However, the rest of the offerings more than made up for it.The curries were the star of the show. Bursting with aromatic spices, they tantalized my taste buds with every bite. The balance of flavors was on point, and the richness of the sauces was simply delightful. It was evident that the chefs at Joy Curry and Tandoor know their way around Indian cuisine. The portion sizes were also commendable. I found them to be generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and content. The naan was warm and fluffy, the perfect accompaniment to soak up the flavorful curries. The extra rice was a welcome addition, providing an ample base to enjoy the vibrant sauces. While the samosas and palak paneer may have fallen short, the overall experience at Joy Curry and Tandoor was a positive one. The delicious curries, generous portion sizes, and convenient location near Grand Central Station made it a great choice for a late-night takeaway. If you find yourself in the area and craving some Halal Indian cuisine, I would recommend giving Joy Curry and Tandoor a try. Just make sure to explore their menu beyond the samosas and palak paneer, and you're bound to discover some truly yum-worthy dishes that will satisfy your cravings."

"I am sorry to say that this was the worst experience I have ever had. How can a wedding venue with over 200 guests not have air conditioning? It was a disgrace that nothing was done about it. The area around the building was filthy and overall it was a terrible mess. As the groom's older brother, I am extremely disappointed. I have experience in business and it is clear that this establishment is not being run properly. I will never return, even if I was offered the venue for free."

"I am not one of those people who walk into a restaurant close to closing. I don’t even like coming in with less than a couple hours before closing. I inadvertently walked into the Albert an hour before the kitchen closed (the bar is open later). I offered to leave once I realized the time, but the hostesses were very welcoming and encouraged me to stay. I did stay and told my server, Liz V, I would be quick. She was so nice and didn’t rush me at all! She was super personable and gave me great recommendations. I had the ravioletti, made with braised short rib, truffles, cacio e Pepe, and candied walnuts. It was delicious! But it’s a fairly small portion. That’s why I ordered a side of Brussels sprouts with Parmesan and mushrooms with chili and herb crumbs. The ravioletti was rich and scrumptious. The mushrooms were savory and spicy. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and smoky. This was more than enough food! I had a couple of delicious cocktails. The noethern lights (vodka, elder flower, lemon, chamomile). And Quixote (tequila, chambord, lime, ginger). Both were refreshing, but the Quixote was moodier and more interesting. I would choose it over the other. This spot is mostly Italian. They have several delicious looking pasta dishes—tagliatelle, gnocchi, risotto, and much more. All appear to be creative and full of flavor, and I can’t wait to try them again. They also have salmon, pork, chicken, and steak dishes. I didn’t try the dessert menu, but it also looks killer. I have a stay booked here in a couple of weeks and looking forward to trying out this hip hotel, eating more tasty food, and sipping more sophisticated cocktails!"

"I recently dined at indian sizzler and my experience was nothing short of disappointing. I ordered their supposedly famous biryani, only to be met with the worst culinary experience of my life. The biryani was not only bland, but it also tasted as though it had been cooked in a rush with little regard for flavor or quality. The rice was overcooked and mushy, while the meat was tough and lacking in any discernible seasoning. To make matters worse, within minutes of finishing my meal, I began to feel nauseous. Two hours later, I was still battling a bout of nausea that left me regretting ever setting foot in indian sizzler.Overall, my experience at indian sizzler was a complete disaster. I can confidently say that I will not be returning anytime soon. Save your time and money, and steer clear of this culinary catastrophe."

"this place is clean and the staff are kind! there were no issues bringing my service dog here unannounced, and there were no fake service dogs in here. in the middle of the dining area, the space between the tables is small, but outside that area, there's more room. the vibe in here is calm and the music isn't loud at all."

"First time here and will be visiting again soon! I felt like traditional vegetarian cooking this evening and found this lovely Indian restaurant by accident. When I entered here I was awestruck with what a large and extravagant space they offer for fine dining. Everyone here is dressed casually though and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I chose a delicious vegan dish Chana Masala which I always love whenever I go out for Indian cuisine because I love chickpeas. The dish comes with white rice and fried lentil pappadam is offered before your meal. I love Lassi so I had to pick the refreshing mango Lassi "

"Checked out this place while visiting D.C. and I enjoyed the food. I got the lamb vindaloo, and I enjoyed it. My friends also enjoyed their meals. The decoration is also pleasant. Overall, it was good experience."

"I came here with my mother based on a suggestion from one of her coworkers. We are regulars at Al Markaz and were told that this place is "better" and spicier."
