"I grew up in a restaurant. It is VERY rare I leave a bad review for a restaurant. I'm not sure I've ever left a review. Anyway, the food tasted like addicts were preparing it. I ordered from uber eats and the lids were literally all coming off, the bagwasn't even stapled shut. Wide open. I am physically sick and I'm not sure if it's my nerves or the few bites I did take. I meannot one single thing they sent was good. NoT 1 and i spent 80 bucks. I'm so sorry to go on and on. I could never serve anyonethis food I mean it was bad. What if their kitchen is dirty. I'm freaked out. It was THAT bad."

"My son and his fiancee took the family out to dinner because they were going to be gone for a while. I had the large platter of chile verde wet burrito with an enchilada, tostada, rice and beans. Also ordered a ground beef taco. Helen ordered the chile rellano platter and Evan had the menudo which was fantastic. My wet burrito did not have a great cheese sauce as I was anticipating, it tasted like a dull enchilada sauce instead. The taco, had a manufactured shell, and the beef had no flavor. The tostada, same. Manufactured shell. The rellano perfect. I think if you are going to be authentic, you should not cut corners and put out Manufactured shells. The salsa, for the chips and salsa, tasted like Pace picante with jalapeño and cilantro added. They need to up their game. Fresh needs to be a priority and maybe hire a professional tortilla maker that makes Fresh on the spot. I wouldn't mind going in there and teaching them how to make hot sauces and Pico salsas, that are Fresh. The difference between California authentic Mexican food, and Utah Mexican food, needs to learn to make it better. Helen and I would love to teach the cooks a few things."

"A little kitchen snafu made for a short wait for lunch. But they let me know, apologized and honestly... it was worth the wait. Everything was delicious and tasted very fresh. Staff was nice and friendly. It was a win for a random drive by and stop. If I lived in the area, it would for sure be a staple stop. I am not an expert, but I suspect they make their tortillas fresh or at least get them locally because they were soft and lovely and taste nothing like store bought tortillas... Delicious."

"I have always enjoyed going to Carlos O'Briens. Since they are no longer located at 12th Street and North, we decided to try out this new spot. They require masks, have tables socially distanced appropriately, and keep their public bathrooms open. Masks must be worn in the bathroom and at the table. The food is delicious and the waitstaff is very friendly. Our glasses were constantly refilled without having to ask. We will definitely be returning!"

"Food is good but God, what awful attitude the girl at the counter has! I asked to see the size of a dessert I wanted to see if I needed two or four. She nastily told me she wasn?t getting it from the back room if she wasn?t sure I was going to buy it. I wasshocked but still asked for four of them.
