"we had a great dinner in ciclo! our waiter denis was so friendly, friendly and attentive. he went out several times to make sure we had everything we needed and to make our dinner special. we ordered the mais empanadas and homebrot as appetizers and both were delicious. for our later courses we ordered the chicken, the beet salad, the butternut cheese soup. the food performance and taste were excellent for them all. I highly recommend ciclo to dinner and if they go they need to ask for denis to make their night really special!"

"Was told this was the best steakhouse in Alton Illinois. So we gave it a shot. Children got a kids cheese pizza, and for $6 each the quantity and quality was pretty good, 5/5. Wife and grandmother got the shrimp scampi, both said it was kinda bland, but it is just a garlic butter sauce so I can see that. Shrimp was kinda light for the shrimp to pasta ratio, but enough pasta for two that was for sure, 4/5. I had the 6oz pepper loin with loaded baked tater. Potato was great in size, pepper loin might of been a light 6oz but plenty in flavor. Ordered a med got med well. Now the reason for the only 4stars. Noticed on ticket, we were up charged for things that were supposed to be included like strawberry vinaigrette, $4upcharge but was supposed to be included. And a 2.75% credit card fee. Kinda odd. I run my own business and don’t have to charge cc fees to cover just odd. Especially with no notice. Atmosphere is nice, but after 6pm seems to get rather loud, couldn’t hear the person two seats to my left without them yelling. Overall, wed give it another go, just withdraw cash first."

"Best food ever. Steaks are perfect! The atmosphere is so amazing. The red napkins complement the restaurant. The staff there makes everybody feel welcomed. The bar menu has an amazing skirt steak sandwich. And the baked clams are amazing. Try the Cajun calamari it’s to die for! The cowboy ribeye is very good! "This was a really cute place to have a both creative and comfy buffet brunch on the weekend. They had a wide range of breakfast and lunch options. Everything was cooked well, the areas were kept clean, and didn't seem to sit long. Their dessert buffet was delicious and cute. Guests were respectful and wore masks at the buffet. As busy as it was, it was a nice dining experience. The espresso machine was broken and $4 for plain coffee seems like too much however everything else was great. They serve brunch until technically 2pm however it's not a hard time as they still serve buffet a little after for the late comers. The $30 brunch buffet cost might be a little high if you are running low on time so I would suggest arriving early and making the most of the experience. Also, it's very popular so I recommend making a reservation as well."

"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"I have mixed feelings about this establishment. When we arrived (5m early) for our brunch reservation. The host stand was complete chaos and totally overwhelmed. After waiting for 40m, we were brought back to a table to find out that there were already people seated there. After a quick return to the host stand we were reseated. The food was excellent; hot and fresh and replenished quickly if an item was taken. Our waiter was, though very busy, attentive to our needs and quickly refilled drinks. When the bill came, I was annoyed to see a 5% Restaurant Recovery charge due to the pandemic. The place was PACKED, not a mask in sight (patrons or staff) and only one lonely squirt bottle of hand sanitizer. To act as though the company is struggling due to the two year old pandemic but have no social distancing, mask requirements or other pandemic related safeguards is a joke and the 5% fee is a money grab. Disappointed"

"My friend and I went here yesterday for Cinco de Mayo. It was insanely busy, standing room only with people waiting out the door. And why? Because it's worth it! The food and drinks were fantastic, but the service was beyond expectation! With so many people the staff remained friendly and attentive. Orders were remembered and arrived within reasonable time. "I had made a reservation for my brothers birthday with the parents and his wife. Our server didn’t mention anything about it. The service was very slow. It took a crazy long time to get our drinks and our server, while nice, didn’t check on us very often. We had wanted more drinks and dessert and that took a minute and then when ready for the check we waited almost 30 minutes. At this point the restaurant was pretty empty so I’m not sure what was going on. The menu offerings were very limited and very few veggie or fish options (no salmon, shrimp, pasta, etc). There was a very bright light above the table that was blinding. The manager turned it down a bit but it was still very distracting. It gave me quite a headache. The food overall was cooked well and tasted good. The cocktails and wine were also good. I expected a little more overall for the price."
