"There are 2 no, there are 3 Sam Woo’s. The on Culver in Irvine has attached a “fast food” BBQ. Sam Woo also has another restaurant in Irvine on Walnut and Jeffrey. This review is for the Culver Seafood version. I ate there twice in December. One was a private party in the back room. I think there were 4 round tables of 8 people. Apparently there is a minimum order of $350 to book the room. The food was absolutely delicious. Served family style and presented on a turntable, faul Susan, I never had such unusual and tasty Chinese selection. I really can't tell you what I ate most, I tried everything. The orange chicken was the best I ever had – not tender and ill sweet as most places are suitable to serve. I was a guest in the restaurant and not paid, so I'm not sure the prices, but I think someone gave it $35 per person, no alcohol. We had English speaking Asian servers that were well trained and personal. The second visit was with some friends during the week, All older women, except 2 of us, we are all also Caucasus. I mention this because this restaurant is the meeting place for many Asian men at lunch. The waiting staff was excellent, they even gave the 7 checks separate from us! The food we individually selected with the help of the waiting staff was served family style. The waiter patiently explained ingredients and contents of hotness. We had 7 cakes plus rice and cookies with tea. The bill came a little over $10 per person. There was another lazy Susan who made life easier for us. We had 7 different dishes, some were so well served by the staff. I think nothing was mediocre. Several in the group went back during the holiday period when they visited relatives to feed. I recommend each of their ducks, but the shrimps were also special. We were over two hours, eating and chatting, and nobody looked at us."

"solid dim sum in the DC area, but what really impressed me was the fantastic and friendly service. after much research, hong kong pearl seafood restaurant continues on best of. dim sum lists in the environment and, as they can see, they have lots of yelp reviews so they only do something right. we arrived at 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday afternoon and parked easily on their huge parking space, which is part of an Asian-oriented stripe mall with a sharetea near. as they can imagine when a dim-sum restaurant is popular, there are in the regular plllenty of customers waiting and the surrounding parking space will be full....as was the case here. However, shocking, the wait was only 15 minutes for our party of 3 and the turnover was quite fast! Of course it did not hurt that the interior of the restaurant was very spacious. we immediately sat down as soon as we got in and, as we had a small child with us, we needed a high chair and the hostess was very accommodating with our please. she actually asked if a high chair worked better or a booster worked better. Actually, she couldn't have been a friend. more later. there is nothing like the authenticity of the dimme sum in a restaurant where the older ladies run around with cries full of delicious dimme sum and hong kong pearl seafood restaurant 't do not deviate from this authentic experience. the restaurant serves them quite a lot of their daily dimme total quality roast pork/shrimp/bark rolls, garnel knuckles, pork bones, bark meat balls, chicken feet, sticky rice, roast pork beans, black ribs with black beans, garnel and knuckle knuckles, mini-eaters etc. we just made a few tables with the augäpfel that they ordered and they really looked delicious. during our time here we are stuck with straight dimming sum and it was all so goouuod. not the best we ever had, but solid quiet. the only thing that was missing were the desserts that we did not see much. we did not see my faves like coconut jeello/Pudding or the steamed sponge cake that is oh so good when beautiful and hot. womp womp, oh well. the same car rolled around quite the whole time when we were there, so are the chances that they didn't have them or maybe just not this day? it was definitiw a bit down and about this fantastic service? even if the host was super busy sitting owner, she took the time to go and offer to take our photo when we fought to take a selfie. She didn't have to, but she even did when she ran around like a whan without head. she was really as nice as with us and our child. as far as the other employees are concerned, they were also super friendly to our small child and to us. I know it is hard to believe, because stereotypical, employees in business like these have no time to be friendly, but that was not the case here. Overall, decent diversity of the dimming sum and also fixed. the restaurant was very spacious, so the turnover was high and the seating was fast. service was a so brownie points for it. definitiw a convenient place to fall for dim sums, also past a busy day."
