"I cannot recommend Palette Bistro highly enough. They hosted our COVID wedding/elopement in 2020, and it could not have gone better. Everything was coordinated via email (which can be difficult! , yet everything still turned out beautifully, andhonestly even better than we expected. They allowed us to have the entire upstairs private room for our event, with a stunningview of the water. The food was delicious, served timely, and exactly what everyone had ordered. The service itself was alsoincredible; the team was attentive, fast, friendly, and helpful. It felt like we had the entire restaurant to ourselves with thefocus they allowed us. The pricing was very fair, especially for the quality and quantity of food and care we received. We neverfelt rushed or like we were overstaying our welcome. "DO NOT order the sticky wings!!!!! I swear it felt like they used real glue! The wings on the bottom were literally stuck to my plate and the waffles tasted like some sort of cookie with syrup. My chicken and waffle experience here was awful as I now should've gone with my first mind and orders the jerk chicken. My wife had the shrimp and loved it. If I ever go back, chicken and waffles isn't an option"

"The portion sizes are good but the taste is never the same twice which is disappointing. Sometimes you can get dry chicken, sometimes perfect. Today I ordered a chicken cheesesteak as a wrap. It comes with fries. I usually LOVE the fries. Today I could not enjoy them. They were so full of pepper it was unbearable. The wrap was peppery too. I had to decide eat the wrap or the fries. I couldn't tolerate the pepper from both. I actually tried wiping the pepper off the fries just so could eat a few. Also the time varies when ordering for pickup. Usually if they say 10-15 minutes that means 20-25. Today I was told 20 minutes and was thinking wow. I go over (just across the street from job) in 20 minutes and surprisingly my food was ready. I wondered how long it had been ready because the fries were almost cold. I usually like this place and wish it could get 5 stars but the flavor of the same item is not consistent. The shrimp salad is the only thing that stays the same......watery and lacking of any shrimp to speak of. Ordered twice and learned my lesson.....never again."

"We stopped by Sumac as we had a yearning for falafel. My wife ordered pickled vegetables and a falafel sandwich and I ordered the falafel sandwich and a lamb gyro sandwich. We received a Meze platter and a side order of pickles and the sandwiches. The stuffed rice grape leaves are served very hot which we were not accustomed to and the lamb gyro had a hot Mayo type dressing. The pitas were a little old. Overall the food was decent but not outstanding. Price was a little steep at $64 (w/credit card fees). The service was excellent and kitchen is very clean."

"I have enjoyed decades of middle eastern cuisine in NYC , London, and Ct. This cafe and bakery may be my favorite so far. Like Gyros? Great this place has them in 6 or more varieties, Vegetarian? N.P. this place has you covered. Food is 5 stars, eat inside with its charming cafe ambiance, outside in its colorful courtyard, or take out. The food is what will bring you back but the fresh baked Pistachio Baklava will make you fall in love. 5 Stars isn't enough. Do yourself a favor and take a drive to try this oasis in a desert of forgettable food."

"Jordan Rohan? I have to say Aplos is a child-friendly environment. There is a courtyard that is a common room and if you decide to sit in this area, that is your choice. Aplos is not responsible for the children walking around. Also, Christmas and children and schools have parties. I know that the managers offered to move your table in or on the terrace where they have control over the noise, but if you choose to sit in the courtyard and there are kids and that ruffle your feathers then maybe aplos is simply not the place for you. It is a family-friendly establishment. There are many places in the highland village where you can get a table away from activity. There will always be children in the courtyard, Aplos staff are not responsible for this. I was there tonight and it wasn't different than on a Friday or Saturday night when kids walk around, having fun while their parents do the same."

"The Greek salad was just shredded lettuce, which was really disappointing. The lamb gyro sandwich was mediocre at best; it lacked the usual char or crispiness that makes gyro meat enjoyable. Instead, the meat was thick and not very flavorful. The spinach pie was overcooked and bland as well. I’ve dined here before and had a great experience, but it seems like something has definitely changed."
