"Sunday Supper at Sullivans. We had reservations and had to wait a few minutes for them to seat us. No big deal. We were sat in Tiara 's section (my apologies if the spelling is off). She greeted us warmly, got our drink and app order, and set off tobring a bottle of wine. Service was a tiny bit slow, but the restaurant was pretty busy, and we had time to enjoy our cocktailsand appetizers. The app was the Beef Wellington Bites. Very savory meat in a puff pastry and a great start to the meal. Weskipped salads and ordered the mains. The Mrs is a crab cake nut, so she ordered those and was quite impressed. I tried a bite,and they were packed with crab meat and a few spices and a great balance of flavor. The shredded Brussels sprouts are legit.Great flavor and loaded with real bacon bits. The only hitch in the evening came when the runner dropped my wife 's order andnothing came out for me. We figured she would be back shortly, but she never returned. Almost 10 minutes had passed, and Iencouraged the Mrs to eat during that time, but she felt bad not waiting for me. Finally a different waitress passed by, and weasked her if she could check with the kitchen. Lo and behold, the order never printed in the kitchen because of a softwareerror. My steak arrived late, but with the profuse apologies of each our primary waitress, the passerby, and the manager whocomped the entree off the ticket. Businesses make mistakes. It happens to anyone who owns a business, but how they handle themistake is where they either succeed or fail. I was very pleased with the response, and the steak...I ordered a strip, rare withthe accompaniment of blue cheese and pork belly, and I may never eat another strip the same way again. The pork belly was theperfect compliment to the lean cut of beef. The strip itself was cooked perfectly, succulent, and juicy.
