"It was Friday at lunchtime and the restaurant was completely empty. The server mentioned that this had been the case for some time. We ordered burritos and fajitas and quickly realized why the place was deserted. My son didn't enjoy his fajitas at all, and the sauce on my burrito had a strange flavor that I didn't like. It was clear why they had discontinued their weekday lunch buffet with no customers. When we left an hour later, the restaurant was still empty."

"We checked in 5 mins early. They told us 15 more minutes which was fine but when we checked in again 20 mins later, they “lost” our reservation and took another 8 mins to get a table set up. Totally fine but the food took almost an hour to come out as the kitchen was backed up. Trying to be understanding since it was mother’s day weekend and our server was great. She kept apologizing and doing what she could."

"This is by far one of the best El Toritos I was with. I came here a weekday, so it wasn't very busy. We immediately sat in an area of our choice. Our server was very friendly without being too much. I ask for changes to my meal, but I didn't have too many options on the menu. The waitress was very receptive and made sure that no dairy products were on my plate. The attention to detail and other recommendations was above what I expected. A great experience and will definitely return."

"The ambiance of this restaurant is great. We enjoyed the food here so much so that we returned again with family. The second time we ordered for apps chicken quesadilla (ordered both times so delicious); entrees: chicken shrimp fajita (Shrimp were soflavorful but the chicken needed salsa); steak fajitas (hit or miss in terms of cook); carne asada (delicious); carne asadaburrito (delicious); dessert: deep fried ice cream (the coating seemed overcooked but was edible). "I was a bit disappointed that your time scoop of the corn cake was so tiny, I remember it being 3X's the size when I ate there last, at least the one in Carlsbad. Or Oceanside. But the one in Yorba Linda was a very tiny portion. The rest of my meal and the service was great. Loved the Salsa too."
