"I left a review of this disastrously misguided restaurant, but apparently, it was removed. Maybe Marriott got mad. Who knows? Anyway, I didn 't really want to eat here, but the extreme heat in Tacoma closed all the actually good places in town, and I was staying in the hotel for the weekend. The Not So Great Room needs help, STAT. WIlted lettuce, tepid steak, and out of order courses that did not match my wine pairings did not enamour me to this dreadful, overpriced eatery. The staff were indifferent and uninformed. The menu was severely limited and uninspired. I could have bought the food myself much more cheaply and frankly done a better job of preparation, as I am a good cook with commercial exprience. I cannot fathom how the chef in the kitchen actually earns a salary for the excresence at my table that evening, not to mention the absentee restaurant and bar manager. Worse, I had to wait for half an hour for my table, and I had a reservation. I 'd like a refund, but I 'm guessing the statute of limitations has passed by now. I asked to speak to the hotel manager, but that person never answered. I will leave an equally scathing review on Google, where I can expect many more views to the detriment of The Greatroom. Get it together, Marriott."
