"Been going to Baja for over 20 years and lived there over ten, so I know a little about Mexican food. Loco Charlie's consistently has some of the best I've ever tasted, especially the flavorful frijoles. Recommend fish tacos... #5 combo (chile relleno and your choice of enchilada with rice and beans)... and ceviche. ¡Buen provecho!"

"If you love Mexican food this is your place! Service was phenomenal, my server’s name was Maria the lady made my husband and I feel like at home. Making sure we had everything we needed and went above with extra service (giving us more sides and other options we didn’t even think of). Tacos were great! I loved how filling they were, definitely don’t order them as an appetizer when you’re starving lol. Overall, amazing food and by far the best service I’ve had in a long time."

"Stopped in for a later than normal supper after our son's school musical. He had the kid's bento box with double edamame side. I had sushi and salad which was the perfect amount of food while the hubs had poke bowl. Son finished his meal with brownie covered in icecream for an additional $1. Our server was friendly and quick on her feet."

"vaqueros is a hidden gem among local Mexican restaurants. vegetarian burro was big and great. breakfast burritos are worth the journey. there is a large number of different entrees, even many children's meal options. refried drilling are vegetarian and delicious. fries are salty and good. there is an salsa bar with enough fresh options. the personal was friendly and I had never had a problem in English (if that is something that it holds back from some Mexican restaurants). there is a dining room and a car ride thru. the prices are the same with other authentic Mexican restaurants in the environment, and there is a $0.50 convenient fee when they pay with the card. I would definitely recommend vaqueros when they visit the phoenix area."

"Food was outstanding, wait was short, cold draft at the table (winter time) and very loud, but you get that with a pub. Waitress seemed new and unsure of herself, but she did a very good job."

"The food was good but the service was less than expected. I was there with business associates and when it came time to pay I wanted to split the check (one for client reimbursement, one personal) but the server would not do it. I had to do it on a kiosk which took me away from my conversation with my associates….the very reason we were there. My colleague had to go to the bar for his own glass for a beer after asking the waitress twice. She was standing there chatting with the bartender and was like, oh sorry…ha ha…Disappointing."

"Do not, do not I repeat do not book an appointment for reservation at Charter House in Lake Charles. By far the worst dining service my wife and I have ever experienced. My wife and I ordered our complete meal appetizers and entrees. The appetizers never came my wife's food came first, my food came later and it was not what I ordered. The food was sent back, the food came back super late. We ask to see the manager the manager made zero effort to make it right. We just canceled the complete order. The manager never came back out never apologized. We just packed up and left. We would never ever book again and we would never recommend to everyone to ever book a dining experience there. Avoid it at all costs. We wound up eating at the waffle house and let me say the service and the food was far greater compared to this establishment"

"Extremely expensive, food good not great, portions small for the price. Went for anniversary and they didn’t even acknowledge although we mentioned on open table comments when reserving. Server seemed to have a very bad cold and looked like they belonged in bed, let’s not mention possible germs. Not worth the money. Appetizer, two drinks over $50, add two entrees and with tax and tip well over $150, for lunch. We’ll pass."

"I always bought food here(I wont ever again) but today I purchased a Tres Leches Cake. Me and my coworkers tried it and it was not fresh. I took it back and wanted my money back. My coworker and I were told ...We never said the cake was fresh. We make it 2 days before we put it out. Que!? That is crazy and no I wouldn 't recommend food from here.I always bought food here (but I would never go back) I bought a Tres Leches Cake today. My coworkers and I tried it and it was not fresh. "The food at this restaurant is mediocre and too expensive. $35 for a small serving of salmon with rice is outrageous. Charging $14 for one shot of sake is exorbitant. Additionally, the calamari was oily."

"The only issue I had with the place concerned the attitude of the hostess desk. I made a reservation for 8 people. However, I realized I forgot one person who was participating in a golf tournament and we didn't know he would definitely be there until he showed up. The reservation was on a Sunday at 7:00 p.m. I explained the situation and asked whether or not the table we would be at would accommodate adding a ninth chair to it should he show up. I received a bit of resistance and attitude like this could not be done since the reservations for 7:00 p.m. were full and it might require too much work to accommodate this request. I was told that I should call as soon as I knew whether or not this person was coming. I told her I could not do that since the golf tournament may not be over by 7 and my person may not be able to let me know his attendance until right at 7 or after. However, when I arrived at the restaurant, there were other people there. But it was not even a quarter full. By the time 7:00 p.m. came and went, we ended up being about the only table in the restaurant. We could have sat anywhere in the restaurant and would have been fine to add or take away people from the table. When you work in customer service, it's important to convey to the customer that we can do anything for you within normal requests and whatever has to be done behind the scenes to fulfill the requests are not the customer's concerns. I did not encounter this approach. I was disappointed."
