"I had a disappointing experience at Mitchell's, with a long wait and a refund on my food. However, I decided to try the fish and chips at the restaurant across the street. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick service - I received my order in just 15 minutes. Not only did I get the same amount of food and dessert, but I also saved $10 compared to what I would have paid at Mitchell's. The quality of the meal was excellent as well."

"We've been going here for years. Food was always good. But wow did the service go down hill. Waiter disappeared on us for a long time, then when the food came out, it was slightly incorrect....and cold. Then we didn't see him again. Usually waiter's come back to see how you're doing if we need ketchup, napkins....etc.. we were asking other waiters that passed by but they just gave dirty looks. I guess we didn't belong to them. Then we asked the bus boy for more coffee and he came back within seconds. LOL. I should've left him the tip. A burger and an egg sandwich $35. Not worth the crappy service. What a shame."

"I really enjoyed the $20 breakfast at this restaurant! The boss may have had a bit of an attitude, but the food was delicious. "Staying at a Sta. Monica hotel at Christmas hungry for a good pastrami, we located Fromin’s on google. I have found finding a great pastrami challenging. I had no expectation to be honest. Well, my son I were quite pleasantly surprised. The pastrami was melt in my mouth yummy! Minimal fat, just enough for a tender moist pastrami, and thinly sliced, but stacked. The potato pancakes were so good. Well seasoned, and fried to a nice crunch. My son had eggs Benedict he said were delicious! The lady who seated us was so friendly accommodating, as well as Maria our server, who was right on top of everything it’s a busy place. The entire staff worked as a team and performed like a well oiled machine! I can’t wait to come back!"

"I've been here a couple times and it has been going downhill. Today I had the eggs Florentine and it was cold and sloppy. my tea was cold and so was my bacon. I'm upset because the very first time was the only best time. minutes after eating I saw a roach crawling on my table!!! My stomach is in pain and having to use the restroom. I don't understand why but I won't be returning. also the gentleman was being very rude to the young lady. very weird!"

"So glad I walked up the street from my Dr. appt. and discovered this place!! My only regret is not ordering the Pastrami! Had the chili dog with some fries and an iced tea. Service was awesome! I read up on the history while I ate and felt like a part of it just being there. I went to my appointment and came back to order dessert. The gentlemen at the counter pointed out all the go-to desserts for me and I even had help with my selections by a lady from New York that's a regular! I bought $26 worth of desserts alone to bring home to the family and hour and a half east. Definitely going back for rou d 2!"
