"He mentioned a special on martinis, just 10 cents at the bar, so we decided to sit there despite it being quite busy in a small space. I ordered an apple martini, and my husband opted for a dirty goose martini. We both thoroughly enjoyed our drinks, and when the bill came, it was a mere 21 cents!
We were then escorted to our table, which offered a lovely view of the golf course. The restaurant itself isn’t too large and was about half full. The atmosphere struck a balance between upscale and relaxed, with patrons mingling between tables; a family in the corner was playing cards, and the overall vibe was lively and cheerful.
Our waitress was a pleasant young woman who was happy to make recommendations when I asked. I chose the lobster hash appetizer and the kalb porterhouse for my main, while my husband ordered a crab cocktail and a potato-crusted halibut. We also had the option to select one side dish from a list of about eight.
Our appetizers arrived, looking fantastic. I was pleased to see a generous amount of fresh jumbo lump crab meat in the cocktail—considering it was priced at $14, it felt like a great deal. My lobster hash was delicious, beautifully presented and fresh. So far, everything was going wonderfully.
When our entrées came out, I was presented with a sizable kalb porterhouse, which I had ordered medium; it appeared to be more on the medium-rare side but was still quite tasty. My husband’s halibut looked impressive, topped with thinly sliced scalloped potatoes and drizzled with a lime green sauce. As a seafood lover, he declared it very good.
We were too full to try every dessert available, but we ended our meal with two delicious cappuccinos, and our waitress surprised us with a cool rock candy stirrer. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and would definitely return to the Terrace on the Green."
