"Hendricks Tavern is a hidden gem located in the heart of Roslyn. The service, from the valet attendants to the wait staff, was excellent and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The ambiance is warm, laid back, and relaxing. My wife had been wanting to try Hendricks Tavern for a while, so we decided to celebrate her birthday there. We made a reservation for outdoor seating and were accommodated without any issues. The food was superb! We enjoyed zucchini and eggplant chips, fried calamari, and a pizza as appetizers, all of which were delicious. For our main courses, we had Tavern BBQ Ribs and a 30oz Tomahawk Rib Eye steak, which we shared. The sides of creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms, and hash browns were tasty, although the hash browns were a bit crunchy. Our desserts, carrot cake and homemade apple crisp, were also fantastic. The wait staff even sang happy birthday to my wife when they brought out her dessert, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great dining experience with delicious food, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Thank you to everyone at Hendricks Tavern for making my wife's birthday dinner special and memorable."

"I feel like we've been there a little early for hibachi, we sat down and there were no one on the side of the restaurant. but made for a few nice pictures! soon the tables began to fill. we sat with a few other groups at our table and then started the show. for beginners we had the usual suppe and salate. (which are both delicious and we ordered the california roll. perfect amount of crab and avocado. Finally, the main course was fantastic. the steak was cooked to perfection and the sweet, huh, rice and noodles were perfectly portioned and delicious! and finally the waiter and the chef were phenomenal friendly and attentive."

"I called to place an order for pick up. Asked how much was a large tripe soup with rice, lady said $14 but I couldn?t place the order I had to go to the restaurant. I go to the restaurant, my order is ready and she said I have to pay $21. ??? What!! wewent back and forth and I reminded her that I was the person she spoke to over the phone. But the funny part is when I said Iwas not paying $21 for a tripe soup and a small rice. She said ?but we already warmed up the soup for you? ??? Lol It?s not EVENMADE TODAY!? "I went to this restaurant on a Thursday night with a group for a work lunch. I was excited to see the menu options and pleased that we could also get hibachi at a regular table. The restaurant appeared to be quite empty, which is understandable given the current situation, so the service was a bit slow. There also seemed to be some disorganization as a few people at our table received the wrong orders initially and some of us ended up with the wrong leftovers at the end of the night. However, the food was delicious and the drinks were good as well. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. Despite the issues with service, I would still recommend stopping by for a meal."

"Horrible horrible horrible customer service and FOOD YUCK So on thanksgiving we decided to order 4 dinners because it was just easier for us, while we were catering to 2 elderly family members BIG MISTAKE The dinners were the worst meals we have ever had. The Supposed turkey seems like it was a sliced turkey from Cold Cuts The sweet potatoes looked like a colored pile of mud that was just disgusting. The stuffing well, that tasted like sand. EVERYTHING was just BAD. When I called to speak to someone that said they were the owner, after having a hard time with her, she said she will refund only 3 of the dinners. 4 days later and still no refund. Called today and she said Call your bank and get it because she will not refund it. Big big mistake dealing with this diner. Much better places around to go to than this disgusting place."

"We sat in a small section with only 3 or 4 tables, but we all had different servers. It didn't make any sense and our seemed roaring bc she ran from the end of the restaurant to another. At one point, she disappeared 10 minutes before we could place the order. Secondly, the place needs a facial lift. Needs updated lighting. Why are there Mobfotos and Frank Sinatra's cups shot on the wall of the seafood restaurant? Some of the antiques are great, but they could be integrated into new decor menu changes. Portions are smaller. I literally have a big piece of broccoli as a side. Awful. Go with page options to reduce costs and give more. My plate looked so sad. The two different choices of Entrees sizes are also stupid. My crab cake has become smaller since the last time. Should be an option. Seafood is always fresh and tasty, but with the rising costs for everything it is simply not worth the money."

"Fine Dominican Steakhouse Bar. El Conde is a neighborhood in Colonial Santo Domingo. El Conde Steak House in Washington Heights features a good amount of Dominican fare, but many offerings are familiar to the Spanish speaking Caribbean and much of Latin America as well.<br/ I started with a Cuba Libré that was bracingly strong. My spouse went with a bottle of Presidente. My dinner choice tonight was grilled entraña, which is listed as churrasco, with tostones. I ordered it prepared medium, although I prefer it rarer still. It was served well done (typical), yet, not to my dismay. The onions were treated in an acid other than lime juice. The skirt steak also had a citric tang that I believe came from a vinegar based marinade. That appears to be the simple answer to the flavor profile puzzle that many previous El Condé reviewers posed in their writings on various sites.<br/ My better half chose rabo with red beans and white rice as her side dish. Despite having half the meal wrapped for take away, she expressed no disappointments.<br/ We made no after dinner dessert nor beverage selections as we were both quite full after our repast."
