"The taste of our lunch was on spot as it always is with 54th. The minor issues started with the hostess walking us to a table, laying the menus down and saying here ya go. That's was ignored by my group as we didn't mind worrying about it. The other small issue that surfaced was the server came to our table 2 times. Once for drinks and once for our order. She never came back. I had to ask her passing me if she wouldn't mind getting us more water (yes, i said excuse me, when you have a moment would you mind getting us some water). Which she did nicely (so i guess 3 times she visited). But we all noticed our server and other servers walking around talking on their phones in the dining room even as they brought things to the table. We are a kind group of individuals that don't like to make waves so we didn't say anything but the servers were literally delivering food and walking to tables with their cell to their ear. I don't mind you speaking on your phone but maybe not while walking by my table. I felt embarrassed to interrupt their phone call to ask for anything so my group didn't. This doesn't mean our food was perfect (it was). We are just a little considered about the management's ability to have the servers attend the visitors and not be on their phone."

"We were down here for a business trip and it was so hard to find good food places to eat. In Scottsdale, Az we have some of the best restaurants available. It was a little bit of a shock when we came to Kansas City and it was almost impossible to find late night restaurants open that were actually good. This place was great! So awesome that we went a few times during our trip! Highly impressed. Out of the 20 places we tired during our trip, this place was number one."

"Good Food and Service, Long Wait. Been here several times. Service was good. Food was really good. Always crowded except around lunch time. Plan ahead for a long wait if going at night. They do have half priced appetizers at the bar after 9pm. There is usually several spots at the bar if you don't want to wait. They also have To Go service and the food has been just as good. Prices are similar to AppleBees."

"I visited the restaurant on December 26th and was surprised to find only two waiters working. My family of 7 was told that we would have to wait for 2 hours, which seemed excessive considering the lack of staff. Meanwhile, smaller groups of 2-6 people were being seated promptly."

"I visit this restaurant very often. Service food is always been great but last night staff was a extreme let down. I went to the bar to place a to go order. I placed my order at 9:10 pm. I ordered a sandwich fries so it should have only took 15 minutes to make. I asked 2 different bartenders on 3 separate occasions, can they check on my order. On the 4th time of me asking they went to the kitchen brought out my food, by this time it was 9:40 pm. Almost 30 minutes for a to go order with just a sandwich fries is completely unacceptable. I checked my order before I left of course the fries was cold it was only 8 fries on my plate. I notified the bartender she SNATCHED my food out my hand thru it in the trash very aggressively. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager was very respectful smooth things over. I was very disappointed in my experience at this restaurant especially that I’m a regular customer here. I won’t be returning to this 54th Street for a while."

"We're moving to Blue Springs from Oklahoma. Stop there, while house shopping again 3 times since taking loads up. Love the atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food is great, but the strawberry margarita is wonderful!!!"

"I have really mixed reviews. We sat at the bar and had a great experience. It was our first time. The bartender (Daniel) was really patient and helpful to explain the menu items....pls I have nutritional restrictions that are always fun! Don't! He was very accommodating to make sure my order was correct. My husband had a problem with his food. Management was great and professional with the treatment of our problem. You have a really cool menu option for couples! A $35 deal! We will try the next time.... I ordered the nachos with chicken food, he ordered the loaded Mac n cheese with chicken, bacon and garlic bread! The Nachos order is huge! The picture is a HALF order. The overall service was good enough for a 'next time'. I will update my review. On 5????? Experience. Until then????"
