"The best $10 Burrito I had! Great vegan menu, it was so hard to choose. I ended with the Burro Verde (without cheese or sour cream). Such a unique combination of aromas with black beans, rice, mushrooms, artichoke hearts and more! Very tasty and filling for the price. Hot sauce was as described “our hot” and a few drops were the perfect companion with every bite. I ordered to go, but the service was good and the food was very fast ready. Also ordered chips with guac salsa, which were above average. I highly recommend looking for vegan Mexican in NOLA."

"Rubens is my favorite restaurant. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and fantastic and the atmosphere is fun. The menu has the standards you expect in a Mexican restaurant (and they are delicious), but they also have some other wonderful meals. I always have a hard time to decide what to choose. Your table page Guacamole is a must like its addictive chips and salsa. Oh, and they do the best margaritas. Don't miss eating out on Saturday in summer."

"What a wonderful experience. We loved the decor and wall art. The service was some of the best we have ever had. The waiter (unfortunately can?t remember his name) was very hospitable and took great care of us. He gave us so many good recommendations. Chips and salsa were awesome. Mexican corn was delicious. Calamari taco was amazing. Burrito was yummy. The winner though was the calamari taco and Mexican corn. We will definitely be back to our new Mexican spot!"

"I was disappointed in the menu. Much smaller than the past! Though food was good! Sangria was more than I wanted with no smaller options. 32oz is a lot! Guacamole was mixed with crema and not very. Rice beans were okay. Should have just ordered 2 tacos because I didn't finish the rice or beans. Ended up being an expensive lunch. The hostess staff was friendly. Therefore, will try someplace else next time."

"Our waitress was excellent! Her name is Micklyn, not sure the spelling. Somehow they ran out of Tortillas. Not sure what happened. The tortillas were recently very small 3-4 inches over, and thick and hard, torn. It's not like the old days of El Machino. My family has come to Chevy since 1987."

"The food was fantastic! Hands down 10/10. We ordered the guacamole (if there was table page I thought they made it at this table, not the case) and the salsa was free. Both were delicious with warm chips. My husband has the Fajitas Tex mix and I had crabs and shrimp enchiladas. Charro beans and rice were both large and small grain bread. The view was beautiful from the water. So in service, our waitress did her best, but it was a Saturday night and a lot. We had a reservation that helped us to sit quickly, but we waited 20 minutes before our waitress made the first contact. I read the room and placed our food orders with our beverage orders, so we wouldn't wait again. All in all, the food is so delicious again, only maybe during the week when it is a little slower."

"this is not my first time eating here, but this is my first assessment. I had it a few times in the past and it was good, but today it was just okay. I had the pork bell tacos and some of the pieces were cooked and very chew. it was also very fat. the mahi tacos were dry. the kalamari was good. I might be a little strange for it, but I don't like oversized chicken wings. the wings were really huge. I give 4 stars instead of 3 on the basis of the last dinning experience."

"The first time in Chevy and it was a pleasant surprise. The ambience was there. Vibe was immaculate. If you go during the Happy Hour, you will see some great deals. Waiting time is somewhat longer than other places, but it is due to the amount and its popularity. Tableware were very tasty and unlimited nachos when you sit at the bar is great when you visit the matchday. Many TVs are everywhere and the staff is fast. Parking is never a problem because it is located in the Union landing. I'd take my family."
