"This was an anniversary dinner and I 've been here before so I knew it was a special place to celebrate. I love the diversity of the menu and this is one of those restaurants where you can try some different because you know it will be good and fresh and perfectly prepared. We shared the octopus appetizer which was perfectly cooked and seasoned over a bed of delicious little flavor morsels. My date had the stead which he said was delicious and it looked like a nicely charred hunk of meat. I had the oxtail which I 'd never had before and I 'm now craving it again. The service was impeccable, our server was friendly, professional, and engaging. Three little mishaps occurred but over the course of the evening and in comparison to the fine dining experience, they were not a huge deal. First, the waiter poured a refill of prosecco into my date 's water glass accidentally, but quickly made up for it by bringing an additional glass of prosecco. Then, my date burned his finger (it literally blistered immediately) on the peach cobbler bowl so he told the waiter he may want to mention to other diners that it 's too hot to touch. Then there was a hair on my dessert martini glass, which the waiter quickly whisked away with apologies and brought another one. When we went to pay, the waiter informed us that the entire meal was on them to apologize. We were astonished! They had been so quick to apologize and mend the three instances as they occurred, there was no need to comp the meal. However, they insisted and THAT is what makes a great restaurant a great restaurant. They wanted to preserve their good reputation and they certainly did. Any one of these things could have happened in any restaurant, and I would never ask for or expect to have my entire meal for free. But we would like to send a HUGE THANKS to Alchemy, with the promise that we will be back and will continue to recommend them to our friends!"
