"We have found the Independent to be the perfect Happy Hour, Preplay dinner, and postplay food and drinks. The beautiful woodwork and photos create a terrific atmosphere. Last year we went there three times in a seven day period and this year twice in a four day visit. There are lots of choices in NYC, but this is our favorite. The food was amazing along with terrific service. Last Tuesday we did not realize we should have made a reservation, but they managed to find us a table for our preplay dinner. We will return next year"
