"Last night we went to Harvest looking forward to a nice meal. I was looking forward to the fried chicken, but what we got was a burnt chicken breast and before I could complain, the server disappeared for 20 minutes. Very disappointing. I wish I had complained, but didn't have the occasion."

"I came to Alrington diner for our post-camping breakfast tradition. My party of five was promptly seated in a comfy, spacious booth. Coffee was served immediately--piping hot and fresh in really cool mugs. Our server, Jill, was patient as we explored the many great options including a clever shutdown menu . Food came out quickly and was delicious. Bonus points for Texas Pete hot sauce. Great prices, kind and attentive service, tasty food. We will definitely be back!"

"Excellent Local Spot. My husband likes their gyros; they have excellent Italian food, and they serve a good breakfast all day. They've got HUGE variety...it's a great blend of Greek/Italian/Southern Comfort-food. Their wait staff is friendly. "Sunday brunch eating and service was excellent. recommend this place for the large selection of small plates on the menu. the main it area was bright, cheerful and alive. Unfortunately, this is not where we sit. we were the first group to sit in the empty cellar that was initially a little too calm. we plan to come back and hope that we will sit next time in the sunlight dining area."

I never eat here. our server was attentive and engaged, but had bad knowledge about the menu. eating was good; I would go back as I accuse the lead for this mentioned misfortune for bad personal training. has seen a lot of employees sitting around, about 20 percent of the staff made 80 percent of the work. Now I know why it was the only place in st. charles old town, I could make a reservation on a Friday evening to an evening meal."

"This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Capitol Hill area. I go here every time I come to DC. The food is great. This time I came with family and we had 2 disabled people. I forgot to put that in the reservation my fault but they are noticeably disabled (canes and wheelchair). The first floor was pretty much empty but they still sat us in the upper area. Yes my mom and sister can use stairs with assistance, but when the other tables were empty the majority of our time there, it didn't make sense. Our waitress was sweet but more attentive to other tables as we were the table in the kitchen. Our appetizers came before our drinks. My drink was wrong. But at the end of the night, the food is always amazing which is why I would still come back again. But...a little sensitivity training reminder to how to seat customers is needed."

"absolutely brilliant place! one of the best and coolest little bbq joints I ever had and I was on 100 bbq joints all over the country. I would give it up to 5 on my list. Mac cheese was phenomenal. mushrooms were phenomenal. brisket was really good. cornbread was good. pickles were good. homemade sauces were all good. they also gave me a free pecan pier ice cream for my birthday, which was absolutely out of this world. service was good. I will be back in any case!"

"Saw at the bar. The bartenders were great! Really enjoyed my gin and tonic, and probably the best **** Mary's I've ever had. I tried the brick chicken, Cheddar Jalapeños sausage and Brisket. Pages of South Green and Jalapeño cheddar grits. It was amazing. The bride melted in my mouth and the sausage was great. The chicken was okay. Maybe I had built it too much of the description. Great, lively environment with lots of pleasure. I'm definitely back. Waitstaff were great and well worked together."

"My husband and I are eating here on Thursday night. I had filled the flounder with crab meat. It came with 2 flounders. I also had Pommes. My husband had the cabbage rolls, they were HUGE. Big like a burrito. He also had a baked potato. Our dinners came with soup and salad bar. Everything was well cooked and very well tasted. Our server Susan was excellent. We had to take many leftovers home. We enjoyed our meal at John's Diner."

"Unfortunately I have to agree that this black owned business isn't one to be proud of. I tried to support them, actually been there twice but the attitudes of the young people are disappointing. There aren't any thank yous, or how can I help you? Not even friendly smiles. Just angry stares...why are you so mad at that age? Just because you service a certain area doesn't mean that customer service isn't appreciated. They over charged me for 2 snowballs and a scoop of ice cream...I didn't even bother saying anything. There are other snowball and chicken eateries in the area."

"Usually we enjoy the food at Gus’s barbecue but the last two times we are here I ordered the barbecue chicken sandwiches, both the fried and the regular chicken, both of which were not good. The small sized burger was extremely thick and hard to eat, but piled high with everything but the barbecued chicken. To get it in your mouth, you have to cut the Sandwich in half and when eating it, the chicken was immersed in other ingredients. The side dish my granddaughter got of mac cheese with fruit was really good and my husband‘s salad with meat was very tasty."
