"The service was sporadic. The appetizer came out before the cocktails we had ordered. And then we had to wait a while for them to be delivered. The wings were terrific! But the burger was horrible! We ordered it cooked medium rare and it came well done on the circumference and totally raw in the center! And it had no flavor, the tomato was a mere sliver with no tomato flavor or color, the lettuce was a single wilted leaf! The second cocktail had no discernible vodka in it and the server said she couldn’t do anything to correct it. This restaurant had become our favorite new place, dining 2-3 times in a week! We had become accustomed to outstanding service and quality of dishes. Tonight was a huge disappointment and we probably will not return."

"Waiter was rude from the every beginning . We had a 945 reservation . We showed up at 945. We weâre seated and I stayed at the table while the rest of my party went to wash their hands . The waiter came to the table and told me the kitchen was closing and I should order our food and drinks for the people washing their hands . I was appalled . I said I would like to wait for them to wash their hands and look at the menu and the waiter gave me a huge attitude . Then he proceeded to rush us through our meal literally telling us to hurry up and bringing the food out almost all together . As we were leaving he told us to be becareful because Lexington was a scary place after a certain time. It was before 1045 pm because he had rushed us through a meal in less then an hour. It made no sense and none of us could understood what he meant by this comment . We were in town for business and this restaurant was highly recommended by a friend . We had planned to eat at this restaurant at least 2 more times in the week were visiting . I will never eat at this restaurant again. Totally unprofessional and miserable experience ."

"This place has fabulous seafood. Many choices of fresh oysters and crab cakes are spot on. Tim the oyster shucker is so friendly and great respectful customer service along with Dan the bar tender. Only draw back is Happy Hour starts at 4:00 and only at bar seating, so if you stand in line when they unlock the doors at 4:00 you might get lucky as there is only 8 chairs."

"our party of 6 including our 3 and 6 year old daughter had a fantastic meal in public fish oyster. for a Tuesday night directly in front of the celebrations it was still very busy. the service was excellent and our server ensured that we often take care of it and check in. when you consider how busy they were, eating relatiw quickly came out and everything we had was top notch. my personal favorites were the crabcakes and the calamari. we have pampered ourselves in the selection of oysters and also enjoyed them. we strongly recommend public fish and oyster."

"Gladstones is a perfect spot for a celebratory meal or special occasion. The scenery is amazing, the food is delicious and the drinks are great particularly the **** Mary's!. "Don't be daunted by how cool this place looks. The staff is very friendly, the drinks are priced below DC averages, and they are really, very good. I usually prefer beer over cocktails, but these are interesting recipes, executed by a dedicated staff, which results in drinks that are a revelation. The food is similarly created, simple, but well done, with pleasant details (tomatillo sauce on the taco's). Finally, the backyard area is spacious, shaded in the evening, with many small tables. In short an ideal beer garden. Another reason to head to the burgeoning Upshur street corridor."

"Had a reservation but the only table available was in the ally. Poor service, sat us at an obviously dirty table as it had stains from previous beverages and the carcass of an orange slice that was bitten in to. Host removed the carcass but never came back to wipe down the table. This is basic service 101 and very unsanitary. It took forever to get water, which was brought out by the host and set on the obviously dirty table. After waiting 10 minutes our waiter never came so we got up and left. Very disappointed in the poor service, especially because they were not busy."

"This restaurant is classy and beautiful. The service is excellent and food is tasty and well presented. There are a lot of tables and views of the golf course are easy to see. I have had quarterly lunch meetings here for over 10 years and I still look forward to eating here. While the lunch menu is only one page, there is a wide variety of choices. I have had the Reuben Sandwich and I recommend it. The burgers ? are huge, the tilapia fish ? sandwich, the quesadillas are all delicious. Sometimes they have a buffet, and that is always a good choice. My favorite dessert is the bread pudding ? ?. If that is something you like, give it a try."

"No greeting at door. Waited till someone came from office to the right, to seat us. People at bar seam to be having good time. 1 other Tabel had guest. After being seated Did hot get biscuits and butter. Till after 3or4othee guest were seated and got thers. Grouper a little over cooked but good. My wife's vinison. Was way over and tuff and dry. BUMMER. It was her birthday. I am a local barber of 35years and had high expectations. LETDOWN. But on a good note. Your biscuits were great. And the duck frys were also."

"This was a quick stop before an airport pickup and it was amazing! The drinks are made perfectly, the pimento cheese arancini was awesome and our main dish of shrimp and grits was the best ever!
