"I am not sure if I made a mistake or it was a glitch on open table, but I do not recall seeing that the menu was prefixe on New Years Eve. I am pretty sure this was not mentioned anywhere on Open Table. Oh well, $125 pp Ambiance was nice as there was a singer/guitar combo and the restaurant was warmly lit. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server with in a couple of minutes. After the surprise wore off on the limited menu, we ordered. The server was probably disappointed that we are non-drinkers so within 5 minutes we ordered our 3 course meal. Appetizers arrived within 3 minutes. We ordered the ahi medium-sized serving that was over dressed with some sauce) along with 3 saltines. Three. Really? Saltines? We also ordered the crab cakes. They were good but likely not freshly made. Within another 5 minutes our meals arrived. Sea Bass good tasting) and Aged NY Strip with shrimp topping. The steak was thin and cooked medium I ordered medium rare) with two small-medium shrimp place on top. We laughed at the odd presentation….it was akin to the 3 saltines with the Ahi. Steak was tough but the peppercorn sauce made it edible. Shrimp were simply nondescript. About 5 minutes after we finished the dinner the deserts arrived. Tiramisu awesome) and the lava cake with coffee ice cream . The ice cream was top notch, the lava cake was ok, not likely made at the restaurant. We are not asked if we would like coffee. From the time we were seated to when the check was presented simply plopped on our table) was less 60 minutes. Rushed? 100%! Saw our server twice. Once to take our order and again to put the bill on our table. We were never asked about our meal or if we would like anything else. $335 with tax and tip for okay food and frankly lackluster service. This was our first time at this spot. Not sure we will return which is a shame as it is a cute spot that could have been an epic meal even with the prefixe surprise."
