"A for us. It was our first time here and my grandma is wheelchair bound. Looking online, it looked like the diner was wheelchair accessible but it is not, unless you want to eat outside. For us, I wanted my grams to get the whole experience so we must go inside. She wasn’t too happy about trying to go up the steps … they are relatively short and good sturdy rails but they were very hard rock and the step had a slight overhang. From the get go, the staff rushed ?‍ ? out of the diner to take her wheel chair and help her up the steps. When we sat down they sat us as close to the door and bathroom as possible with a large aisle. These details are not something waiters usually understand but these guys and gal were very observant. Gramma can’t travel far so being by the door saves her a lot of pain when it’s time to go. They were SO incredibly sweet. She LOvED the fresh homemade pickles ? and when she told the waiter they were the best she’d ever had, he brought more for her to take home. As for the food.. we are salad girls and the salad was ? HUGE . I got fried chicken salad which is a dish that’s hard to find a southern version of. This was so good! My only critique in the food was that the ranch was a little sour for me. Gramma liked it. I’m originally from the Southwest so ranch is in my bloodline haha. I appreciate that everything seemed to be homemade. For the ranch, I suggest the Hidden Valley powder packets that you mix (not the bottled stuff!! . Yeah, I’ve been to Jackson Hole Diner ? before but I had no idea we had one in NJ. This was a great find. They make their own orange juice. Yeah.. we were both happy with the food and most importantly the customer service and goodwill we received make it extra special to me. It seems like in this day and age ? people don’t respect their elders as much as they should. Not here. Everyone was super amazing and treated her like a queen, like it was her birthday ? and she left in all smiles. One of the gentleman who helped her down the stairs refused my tip several times before I practically begged him to take it. He has such a good soul and wanted to do all that for the bottom of his heart. So thank you ? thank you ? thank you for making my dear grammy feel so special and taken care of. She loved seeing the diner and remarked about the nicest people she’s met in a while. Thank you so much"

"The food isn 't the problem with my dining experience. Actually the food was pretty good! But the service I received was absolutely terrible. My girlfriend and I got a table outside. I noticed a man texting on his cell phone for about five whole minutes, and it turned out it was our server. He didn 't bother to take our drink order first before he engaged in a texting conversation with someone. I get it, you need to text someone. That 's fine, but can you at least ask for our drinks first? We placed our food order, and this guy couldn 't even navigate the tablet thing that he used to take the order. He kept asking us for clarification about what we wanted. I ordered the Monte Cristo French toast, and a coke. It took about ten minutes for him to bring the coke out to me. Then when the food came, I got the wrong thing. I received regular French toast, when I ordered the Montr Cristo French toast. Here 's where the real problem started. When I told the server that this isn 't what I ordered, he got defensive. He said dude, you said French toast . Right, I did... The Monte Cristo French toast. That 's what the item is called on the menu. His response was but that 's a sandwich . To which I replied right. It 's a sandwich. Which is called the Monte Cristo French toast . And he said then why didn 't you say sandwich? Now, to make it clear, there is no non-sandwich version of the Monte Cristo on the menu. There is nothing else with that name on the menu. He just messed up the order. Which, is fine, it happens, but his attitude was so horrible about it that it made me actually angry. I know what I ordered, and you repeated it back to me. You just messed up, and it happens, but don 't be rude about it.It took them another FIFTEEN minutes to get me the right order. We were running late because it took them so long to bring me what I actually ordered, so the minute my food comes out, I asked for the check. They had sent a different server instead because apparently our guy didn 't want to deal with us. It took ten more minutes to get the check.Overall, the food was fine. I 'm sure the rest of the staff is great and friendly and kind. However, this one server was SO rude and bad at his job that I have to give one star. I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with him. He was rude for no reason and tried to blame me for his mistake. Mistakes happen. It 's cool. I 'm not mad about the fact that it was a mistake. I 'm mad that you tried to blame me, tell me I 'm wrong, took forever to fix your mistake, and were incredibly rude about it the entire time."
